Official 2007 Florida Marlins Thread

Just got back from tonight's game. This is the first time since I was a kid that I've gone to a game, and it was pretty damn fun. I sat between two rows of Atlanta fans, which made the six-run inning and that game-ending pitch all the more sweeter.

Then again, they had to rotate three or four pitchers to win the game. That's not encouraging.

A win is a win but you can't deny that there are problems either.

The Bullpen minus Julio has been great all year so far though, the problem is that they have been used so often. Even with the nice work of Gregg the other night you know they had to be taxed. Atlanta has also been one of the best teams hitting off relief pitching. I got really worried at the end but I expect the bullpen will be great the rest of the season if the starting pitching can bail them out once in a while.

miami is a disgrace to baseball...the game last nite was empty...yet they say they will show up if in downtown miami

when and only when the Marlins are playoff bound, the fans will show up but this year when we are about .500 all year they won't come. they shouldn't move to Miami though because I think more fans come from Palm Beach right now then from Miami

When it comes to that a lot of people who buy tickets don't show up. Paid attendance was 11,507.

Looks like D-Train ran out of gas in that inning. It is a very hot and humid night and he threw a boatload of pitches that inning.

Wow... back-to-back from Willingham and Borchard and Owens comes in to save it... nice job...

In other news, Anibal Sanchez got sent down to AAA Albuquerque...

Yeah just for a few starts. He doesn't have that confidence he had last season, hopefully playing some less talented guys will allow him to attack the strike zone again and find his groove.
