Also 51% of shot attempts in the paint.

He is playing much more to his strengths this year. He is not the best outside shooter, and even though he's working on it, he's much better attacking the basket and drawing fouls. Hopefully he isn't dealt at the deadline in order to further the tank. I think a fresh voice in his ear has done him wonders.

Only problem is that you still have the make a jumper in this league if you want to reside on the perimeter. The most pathetic shooting perimeter players in this league are still going to end up with 50%+ of their shots from outside the paint.....Turner will end up taking 60%+.

He can create his own shot at will, and has no problems hitting perimeter shots. He proved last year he can shoot the 3. He doesn't need to shoot the 3 though. He can get to the paint or get a good mid range look whenever he wants. I don't know his mid range percentages but they have to be damn good, and he's shooting 70% at the rim. Biggest difference is Turner has changed his style. He now takes an extra step when attacking the basket, allowing him to get closer to the rim and finish better. Before he would always jump too early resulting in a lot of blocks.

Plain and simple, Turner is just a much better player when he's creating his own shot. He's more into the flow of the game. Coming off screens and being a corner 3 point specialist is one of the worst misuses of a player I've seen. Evan Turner doesn't hate his coach, has made the right improvements, and is being used the way he was supposed to be used, and he's finally looking like the 2nd overall pick. It's only been 6 games and anything can happen, but if you watch Turner play, I have a hard time believing it's a fluke.

Found the exact numbers. 73% at the rim. 54% in the paint away from rim. 68% altogether in the paint. His sweet spot has been the 10 foot jumper from the right corner. He loves to stop and pull up right outside the paint. 10/14 from the right corner. 5/12 from the left. 3/4 at the free throw line. 60% altogether on his 8-15 ft jumper. 3/12 (25 %) 15-23 feet. 48.7% altogether from mid range. 1-9 from 3.

not a sixer fan, but wow, the 76ers r playing great ball.

1 game u can call a fluke, but through 7 games, they have only really been totally outplayed in 1 of those games being vs golden state.

considering the fact that the over under was 16.5 wins, they will not only easily get the over, but who the hell knows, this team is playing with lots of hunger and maybe they can get a 8th seed?

i know its really early, but one thing is for sure, this team is going to give it its all every single game and they will be a pain in the ass down the road for even the upper echelon teams.

I don't know what to think anymore. I will say that Wroten has made a name for himself as being part of our future plans. Really like him a lot as our 6th man. Triple Double in his first start. Good for him. On the negative side this might be the worst 3 point defense I have ever seen. Unbelievably bad 3 point defense is being played each and every week by this team.

Still a long season but the 6ers will have a strong future no matter what. They'll likely have 2 lotto picks (I don't think the Pelicans are good enough to sneak into the playoffs) and this draft should be insanely deep. Wiggins/Randle/Parker are getting attention early but if everybody who is expected to come out does there are probably franchise players 8 deep with another 10-15 picks having good 2nd option potential.

Of course, the Oden-Durant draft was also supposed to be insanely deep and it wasn't as good as advertised

The Sixers have the number 10 and 12 picks from that draft in Thad Young and Hawes. I know hindsight is 20/20, but I wonder what would have happened if Portland took Durant and Seattle (now OKC) ended up with Oden.

This draft looks to be very deep. The Sixers should have a top 5 pick I would think, and the Pelicans will probably be in the 10-13 range. With those two picks, combined with what the Sixers have already, things seem to be looking up.

Oden always should have been the pick that year. But in that draft you have 3 All-Stars (Durant, Horford, Noah), but a lot of guys who are nowhere near where people thought they would be. Of course I laugh at everybody who bought into the Yi Jianlian hype. I knew he was a fake the minute it came out that his handlers weren't letting him go to workouts with any other prospects.

People actually thought Brendan Wright, Julian Wright, Al Thorton, Rodney Stuckey, and Nick Young were guys you could build around. Though he's only solid, I felt Hawes should have been a top 5 pick that year... and looking at who went ahead of him it's hard to argue against that.

6er fans were pumped after that draft, Young, Kopenen, Hill, and Byers.
