I use to get the large one's retail at East Coast seafood in S. Miami for $15 a pound.

115 days until I'm in islamorada! Hope for likes of mahi, tuna, snapper, and a few wahoo

Yea this time of year it's sailfish and kings mostly. Beginning of May the big Tarpon show up under all the bridges. Some great memories fighting big tarpon around the 7 mile bridge at the end of Marathon.
Live mullet on a float or balloon and it's on :hump:
We did always catch a load of mangrove and mutton snappers under that bridge in the middle of marathon. Cooler of beer and rock music blasting we fished there until the sun came up on chilly nights in the winter.
I remember watching haley's comet there one night. I think it was in the 80's. You could barely see it in the city but there at night it was bright in the sky. I know I've told that story before. Good times.

Fishing with my neighbor today and he landed this 41 inch red on light tackle. Always a good time.

Lane snappers, mangrove snappers, and groupers from 2 weeks ago out of Sarasota.
I made some great sushi rolls with some lane snapper, and grilled a big fillet of grouper!

Man...that is a nice fish.

Every Thanksgiving I come home to Orlando for the holiday and my brother and I have a tradition of going out to mosquito lagoon and fishing for redfish. I've caught a bunch, but nothing that big. Congratulations to you neighbor.
