Rank Tannehill Among Young QB's?

Throw Tannehill's name in there, the over under on the time he stops laughing: 10 minutes.

Foles vs Wilson vs Luck is at least worthy of a discussion.

That's unfair at this point. Foles had basically the best RB and oline in the NFL. Plus desean Jackson. Foles might be better but its an unfair comparison and to what phinfan said Jaws loves Tannehill

If we use stats which you seem to be luck can't be in that conversation. If you change your criteria you probably have to include tannehill too you just love short changing our QB

22-10 is a decent stat. 46 TDs is a stat. 2 for 2 going to the playoffs is a stat. 1 playoff comeback is a stat.

Why don't you stick with hockey?? Football seems to be above you.

Here's the rest of the article:
While Jaworski is entitled to his opinions (and ESPN is entitled to milk three days or programming out of each of them), this one seems a little kooky.

As to Wilson, he’s hardly a game manager. By all accounts, he’s a dynamic and driven young leader who has done a lot more for the Seahawks than hand off the ball and throw safe, first-read passes.

Wilson also has shown that he can continue to perform at a high level even after opposing defenses have had seven months to break down everything he did in his first season of action. Foles will have to do the same thing in 2014 before there’s even a fair debate as to whether he’s in the same conversation as Russell Wilson.

Some funny comments, especially this one:

15 years from now, the best qb to come out of that draft will be tannehill

It received 41 thumbs up and 580 thumbs down...

Now Seattle is purposely holding back... Sure scoring an additional 10 points per game is a complete waste of effort.... Where do you come up with this crap?

Efficient because (in part) defenses focused on the running game. Efficient not elite. It as simply as that. Get over it and get back to me when his defense and running game aren't carrying the bulk of the load.

Seattle was eighth in the NFL in scoring O (26.1) and first in scoring D (14.4), so their average margin was +11.7. Why would the offense take unnecessary risks? Have you ever heard of a 4-minute offense?

Look, I get what you are saying. It doesn't matter. Wilson was not the focus of opposing defenses. That is documented. He wasn't responsible for the same percentage of his team's offense as other QBs. He didn't produce the volume of output along with the efficiency to be considered elite. Will he be as efficient when conditions change? We only have one season to go on (NC State 2010) and the answer was no. That alone is reason enough to doubt. The last quarter of last season is reason enough to doubt.

You mean the 4 game stretch that you cherry picked where he played almost as bad as Tannehill does on average is reason enough to doubt he's elite?

A 4 game stretch sandwiched between an 11-1 record and a SuperBowl victory no less...

Oh...and the trolls and bashers aren't' cherry picking and focusing on the final two games?....Week 16 where Buffalo's great line dominated ours and hammered(injured) Tannehill....and week 17 where a banged up Tannehill did play poorly.

Without those last 2 games he finishes ahead of more QBs and is top 5 (in PFF measurements). Also would have had a higher QBR than 2013 Brady and Marino's career average, and been much higher in YPA...since those stats are all that matter...

This season, Russell Wilson was asked to throw the ball 30+ times twice. The opponents were Carolina and New Orleans (the 2nd and 4th ranked D's in the NFL). In those games, he went 47 of 63 (74%) for 630 yards (10.0 YPA) with 4 TD's and 0 INT's. His ratings in the games: 115.7, 139.6. When asked to do more, he's excelled - and against top-5 D's.

Solid point.

That stretch is enough to make me doubt he is better that Tannehill, let alone elite. Almost as bad as Tannehill despite playing under nearly ideal circumstances while Tannehill played under the worst of circumstances. So, yes.
