Report: Flores-dolphins Deal Already Completed

Saw this on Twitter today. Made me happy Dolphins chose Flores:

Kris Richard on the Cowboys: “This is a first-class organization. ... If I would’ve been chosen (for a head coaching job), there’s no guarantee that I would’ve left. I gave them my word that whatever decision was going to be made I would come back to the table and talk to them.”

Glad Fins weren’t used to get a better deal in Dallas.
Quite possibly why it was such a short interview and there was no follow up. Like you, its nice to see the Dolphins didn’t make themselves look foolish. Again.

I like that Caldwell is coming here. Thought he got screwed in Detroit.

“I think as a staff we put the game plan together. As a staff,” Flores said. “And Bill’s definitely a part of that. He’s the head coach so he’s obviously going to be a part of that. But it’s myself and the rest of the coaching staff – Brendan Daly, Steve Belichick, Brett Bielema. We have a great staff. Everybody has input. Everyone’s got their own little section.

“We kind of brainstorm and put our minds together. We build our game plan around our players and the things they do well. Bill’s definitely a part of that. But, yeah, that’s our game plan process. There’s always sometime where it’s maybe we do this, maybe we do that. And we make that decision as a group.”

While Gase was "brains" Flores seems more heart. Not sure if that equates for anyone else, but just going off his interviews it seems to be the case. I don't mean that at him being dumb, but t seems like he gets a part of football that isn't explained or tangible, but we all know is there. Don't know if it will work out, but he seems like a class individual.
