its not piling on, just a difference of opinion.

i dont think posey is anything special. if you think you'll be fine with him, then so be it

Actually..James Posey is VERY special.

There are very few players in the NBA that are like him.

He shoots the 3 at a high percentage.

He is a high energy guy.

He rebounds as well as any 6'8 SF.

He can defend 4 positions.

He is relatively cheap.

He is just a very efficient player. Nevermind that he has a knack for delivering the dagger to teams in the clutch. He delivered the kill shot in countless games in this post season....including both game 6's against the Pistons and Mavs.

i think you are overstating him. 7 points 5 rebounds in the regular season and the playoffs is replaceable. he is just a role player. guys like rick fox and ron harper helped their teams win championships, but were replaceable.

i wouldnt be quick to re-sign the guy

No, you just don't have a clue what you're talking about. All you keep pointing to is statistics, like seriously, who cares? He doesn't need to score 20 points a night on a team with Dwyane Wade, Shaquille O'Neal, Antoine Walker, Jason Williams, & Udonis Haslem. Posey can easily score 13-16 PPG if he wanted to, as he did in Memphis. He doesn't shoot that much, but he's a very high percentage three point shooter. James Posey averaged 6 shots per game during the season, and he attempted 8 per game in the 5 game series vs. Chicago; look at the difference (12 PPG, 49% shooting). You have to watch Posey play to understand his value.

No offense, but you admitted to not watching much of the Heat. We, the people who watch all the games, have the bigger and better say in this. Ask Pat Riley how valuable James Posey is to this team, and you'll be blown away......

Speaking of being "replaceable" - almost every player in the league is outside of the unique superstar caliber players. I promise you that you won't find a more perfect player for this team than Posey, for what his role is. The only player I can think of who will be available is Bonzi Wells, and he doesn't shoot the ball nearly as well.

Well, it looks like we didnt trade away Dorrel Wright... sounds good to me... :D

Every time I heard "we have a trade to announce" I was glued to the tv.

I'm sick right now, but I would've been hospitalized if we traded Dorell.
