The Texans current pick

Miami finished with 5 wins in 2019 and picked 5th, in the 2020 draft. I dont see that happening in 2021. There are too many teams bunched together, so its very possible a 5 win team this year picks 8th -10th.

Good news so far, 20 teams have at least 4 wins and are 2 games clear of HOU.

5 teams have 3 wins and one of them (Philly) has a tie which essentially places them with the 4 win crowd as far as we’re concerned.

5 teams are tied with HOU with 2 wins, but one of them (Cincy) also has a tie which essentially places them with the 3 win crowd as far as we’re concerned.

Best part is all the 2-3 win NFC East teams. They all have incentive to win still. Even DAL — who resides in last place — is essentially just 2 games back of 1st place. With 7 games and 3 divisional games still to play.

The Chargers are probably the best 2-win team and should win a couple more games before the regular season concludes.

Point is, I think much of the bottle necking at the bottom will clear up a bit.

What's nice about the Lions game is it's on Thanksgiving, and Houston has to travel. They've got nothing to play for and will be away from family on Thanksgiving. Also, the Pats are in life-saving mode. I like them too.

I also like that DET finally wised up and started D’Andre Swift last Sunday. He looked quite good. Hopefully he’ll run all over and around HOU’s defense.

Also, DET is still only 2 games out of the #7 seed. Hopefully Stafford heals up and is ok in 9 days.

People really question if bill Obrien knew what he was doing and ignore the fact he helped the Cardinals and dolphins get so much better. Get this man on the jets
O'Brien was desperate to get a quality left Offensive Tackle to protect Deshaun Watson and he ridiculously overpaid to get Tunsil. The huge mistake was the Houston owner entrusting the GM duties that included the negotiation role with someone like O'Brien. Dolphins GM, Chris Grier knew he was negotiating with a desperate coach who was a complete novice in player trade negotiating and he took him to the cleaners on the Tunsil trade (Kenny Stills was the sweetener in the deal). Opportunities like this don't happen very often in the NFL because there are normally experienced GMs with market knowledge handling trade negotiations. It is easy to point to Bill O'Brien's huge screwups (inc the Hopkins trade to Arizona), but the less obvious root cause was actually the inexperienced owner handing over the GM duties, because BO'B clashed repeatedly with the former GM. Note that following the death of Bob McNair in 2018, his wife Janice became the Texans owner. However, she is not a hands-on owner and entrusted their son Cal, as CEO, to run the team and the young billionaire screwed up big time.

So crazy now to think that, back during the 2016 draft, Tunsil fell to MIA at the 13th pick because of a leaked video minutes before the draft started.

Then, 3 1/2 years later, Tunsil is flipped for a boat load of draft picks that very well could help the Dolphins rise to championship level contention.

Crazy how things sometimes workout.

Yeah cal mccnair seems like he has no idea what it takes to run a football team. The team pastor is now the gm/vp and is making decisions. His inexperience or ineptitude let BOB dismantle the team with numerous poor decisions. Its even worse when you see that he really benefitted from a poor division all those years. He is a guy I want on one of my rivals because he may get them to be average, but he will kill them in thenlong run.

That detroit games on thanksgiving...playing in detroit on thanksgiving feels like you are setting yourself up for a loss

it’s the one game every year where you feel like the lions will actually win lol

The next two weeks could very well give us a great idea where this could end up. Here is their remaining schedule

Patriots - toss up
Lions - toss up
Colts - loss
Bears - loss
Colts - loss
Bengals - toss up
Titans - loss
I think the Bears might fall into the toss up category. The rest look good.

Hard to imagine if that pick lands top 5! Talk about leverage!

The parlays off that seem endless...
