The big question is will this site crash on the day Tua signs a contract. I'm sure every single person will try to have something to say.

I would hope so… for better or worse, FH is a community with (hopefully) a singleness of mind… Get to the Super Bowl and WIN IT

So I do support Tua, but I do get frustrated and call him out a lot and yes, have wanted competition for him. But now that all this is happening with the contract, I'll admit, I'm kinda worried if we lose him. Just because anyone we bring in wouldn't be able to just take the reigns with continued success. I dunno, I hope this gets worked out bland I also hope we can find another one if needed.

Not looking promising for a quick deal

It may be that they kick the tires another year to see if Tua can cut the mustard
Yeah.... That is the rub. A handful of people here firmly believe that Tua will not play out his contract and will hold out this season if he does not get his new deal. I am not included in that group. It is something to consider, what would the Dolphins do if Tua holds out?

Article mentions how Tua said he "keeps receipts" and is wondering if that's just the media or also the organization. I hope it's neither but the good teams that keep kicking our arse in the latter half of the last 2 seasons, hello Buffalo, those are the receipts he needs to be concerned with, not the stupid media and hopefully not his own club.

Bad choice of words… perhaps a sit in, as Connor Williams did… if only to allow the team to see how putrid the offense would be without him. Only 4-5 QBs could run this offense. I’m not a Dak fan, but in the MCD offense, he’d be terrific.

You fail to understand what attributes are needed for Miami’s current scheme because Dak possess almost none of them, he’d be awful.

Folks need to relax, Herbert signed his new deal in late July, Burrow in early September, this was known a long time ago and many of us were pointing to a late summer signing for Tua since the beginning of this year. It's June 26, again relax Francis, they'll get it done as both sides need each other and stand to gain with a deal. They're just hammering out the particulars, that's how a big time contract negotiation goes.
Except that those QBs were all drafted the same year as Tua and had plenty of time left on their deals when they were extended.

You all will be happy to get your wish, we will be looking for a new QB sooner than you all expect.

Hopefully this is all a nothing-burger!

The team NEEDS to get their QB signed to a long term deal.

It's as simple as that.

Tua and his camp hold most of the chips at this team.

Without Tua this team has ZERO chance with Thompson and whomever else at the QB position.

So cut the crap out and pay what you have to pay and lets get going.

I think Dak would be horrendous behind this oline.

Dallas has had one of the best olines in the league for years.

That is a great article and sums up my feelings to the tee.

If I didnt feel wanted I'd get the hell out and find a place where they DO want me.

Love my Dolphins but they are ****ing it up yet again.

I'll say this for Tua. If all hell break lose and he actually goes to another team then good luck.

I don't ever think he'll have a more perfect roster including the HC for his skill-set and long term success.

The coaching staff and offensive personnel is taylor-made for him.

I think you are underestimating other NFL rosters.

I am a Dolphin fan, and I am a Tua fan. I'd like to see them together, but when he leaves Ill still be a Dolphin fan, and Ill still be a Tua fan.

People underestimate Tua's ability to learn, adapt, and improve. The kid will be a winner wherever he plays. I wish I could say the same about my Dolphins.
