Pick my post all you like.... It does not change what I said.

The premise was that he never played in KC at the level he is playing at now in Miami

I showed you that he did in 2018.

you can say he played other seasons in KC less effective... Does not change the fact that he was just as good in 2018 as he was the last 2 years in Miami

Take as much time as you need to process that one thing.

Is yards the only thing you are considering?

Because he has had seasons where he had more touchdowns, seasons where he had more yards per catch.

it’s not picking anything. It’s a fact that on average he was not nearly effective in KC as he was in Miami. One outliner season does not change that.

You are also comparing what he did with a guy that is on pace to go down as a maybe a top 5 qb ever and when it’s all said and done maybe the best if not top 3 at worst if he plays another 5 years while having one of the best offensive minds in nfl history while playing along side the greatest tight end ever. Literally the perfect situation for any wideout and still it highly debatable his one season was on par and not even close on average his time in KC isn’t close.

Odell Beckham averaged 16.1 yards per reception, waddle averaged 14.1 does that mean Odell is better because the general consensus is he’s washed atleast as a great wideout. Yards per reception is meaningless when you’re averaging 4-500 yards less a season….

His tds are about the same although his only full year was second highest of his career. 2022 he only played 10 games with Tua so more than like both yards and tds are higher as it’s already been concluded with anyone with remotely any clue that his numbers are better with Tua on average.

I guess the question is in regards to the window itself?

Hill is on the wrong side of 30 and has said he will retire when his contract is up.

So based on that... Do we really have a window?

Tua is signed for this season... So they can let him play out his contract. Beyond that, is there a window without re-tooling?

We did just draft a young RB with nice speed and a couple of nifty receivers that could help in a couple of years... But they are not guaranteed.
Mostert is old. Hill is aging

So I ask you... Do we have a window beyond this season?
Yes. IMO, it's 2-3 years, but only with Tua as the realistic starter. I don't see how the Dolphins would even consider going with any other QB at least for the next 2-3 years with this team and this coach unless another established top-tier QB who fit Miami's current system became available.

As good as Hill and Waddle are, I still say I might prefer a combo of Waddle, another wr and a younger version of Kelce.

Wasn’t pointing out combo’s that were better just simply units with talent in which just about all those have two guys arguably top 30 or so. Some obviously are inferior to them but point remains there’s considerable talent around the league.

IMO, this is about getting the Dolphins to a Super Bowl within the current window. The only way you realistically can do that is by extending Tua.

For all the doubters who say he is a product of the system, that's fine, but if that's the case, why on Earth would the Dolphins let the perfect QB for their current system get away?

Tua within McD's system is a hand-in-glove perfect fit (O.J. reference incoming in 5...4...3...2...)
Because the current system hasn't won anything. If it fails again to go deep into playoffs, you need to question the scheme and the QB it was built for.

If the system was built for Tua they would have fixed the offensive line.

The system was built by McDaniel and Grier, Tua just happens to make it work.

Ridley/Hopkins.... Stop... neither are Hill and Hopkins has lost a step or two... (Still good.. no longer dominating.) Cook? Never was in the same class as Tyreek... Allen is good... Never Tyreek good... Allen is now old.... Smith and brown are good... Nobody would take them over Hill and Waddle

I said SF skill players are better than ours... .So not sure why you posted them.... (Fail)

I would take Hill and Waddle over Chase and Higgins
I would take Hill and Waddle over Jefferson and Addison
Metcalf is my favorite player in the NFL... but I would not take Metcalf and Lockett over Hill and Waddle

I stand by what I said... We are top 3 in the NFL in skill positions around the QB

Calvin Ridley had 1374 yard season in 2020, Hopkins had 1407 in 2020 I believe it was you that pointed to a single outlining season in 2018 to show hill was playing at a high level prior to coming to Miami. I believe by your logic that still puts that duo at an elite level or does your ridiculous logic only make sense when you do it?

Why are we singing Grier's praises? I don't see anything new on the Tua contract topic. Did I miss it?
Well I am because he has yet to materialize the next unreasonably high "market value" contract for Tua. This would just cripple the team later down the road and intuitively I feel in a couple years many fans could be calling for Grier's head if Tua fails. It's Grier's job to have the foresight to see beyond this coming up season and the next.. having the teams best interest at heart and paying Tua market value does not appear to be wise.

Ahh just blessed to see he hadn't pressured in just yet. We'll see but for now I'm impressed.
He doesnt like Tua.

I do like Tua on his rookie contract and this option year... just not a fan of paying him "market value" yet. Another year is needed after the uncertainties that surfaced towards the end of last season. He's also coming in much lighter physically and would need to see how this new weight works for him.
