no bud, I disagree with this on many levels.

Tua should not be instructing his agent to “ get as much money as possible”

**** that, that’s BS, instruct the agent to work with the team and be involved in the negotiation

If he’s taking this stance that you are suggesting then he can **** off, because to me that’s a serious red flag and someone who isn’t thinking the way he should.

I dont think Tua is that person, but if we are playing the what if game and he is that type.. then I would be ready to scrap the table and let him play out his fifth.
Role-play time....

I don’t disagree with this sentiment.

However…that’s not how agents work.

Please remember that in March of 2023 the Dolphins exercised their 5th year option to have Tua play the 2024 season. So 2024 is done and any discussion about the 2025 season between Tua's agent and the Dolphins, may happen following the 2024 season.

Tua for his career has averaged 5.1 yards in the air on average for his passes. Considering that he likes to try to hook up with Hill and Waddle deep several times a game.... That makes for a ton of nothing gimme passes.

Troll that man.

Ok…man.

When you decide to come out from under your bridge, let’s talk about the last two years.

You know…the ones that are actually relevant to the conversation the adults are having.

It seems this phrase might happen a lot here, but…

…that’s not how that works.

I see we are on to the "short passes" argument.

Years ago and now lost to the depths of the interwebz was an article about Peyton Manning and Tom Brady making a living off short to intermediate passing. The premise of the article was simple "take the yards that are given"

Those saying Tua thows a lot of short passes must not have watched the games, I was screaming last year to take the 3rd and 4th reads! There were yards left on the field in the short to intermediate passing game. To say Tua is Dink and Dunk QB is just ridiculous at this point.

Ridley, Kirk and Engram with Etienne out for the backfield was a good group of targets in 2023

Ridley, Kirk, Engram, Etienne = 305 receptions for 3242 yards
Hill, Waddle, Smyth and Mostert = 251 receptions for 3354 yards

Hill and Waddle combined for 191 receptions, Ridley and engram had 190.
Wow what a terrible group of talent around him

It’s not going to happen, but how funny would it be if Love signed a lesser deal than Goff or Lawerence before Tua has signed?

I swear, many people must have not actually watched Brady play. The guy was absolutely infuriating to watch with his short to intermediate game. How many classic Brady drives are nothing but a collection of short to intermediate passes where he was saying, “cool, that’s open I’ll take it?” It feels like most of them. His deep game wasn’t even a huge part of his repertoire until the Pats acquired Moss.

He's TOO aggressive.

I wasn't aware there was a "short passes" argument.

I had a "short passes" question as in if Hill & Waddle are being respected deep, why aren't we able to rip defenses apart 3-5 yards at a time for long drives?

But that's what this Tua thing is & has been since the crazies were still demanding giving up a fortune to trade up even after the colossal injury. Either hater or starfish licker, both sides spews exaggerated nonsense.

Easily- EASILY- there's a genuine argument to be made on yes Tua deserves big money or no Tua doesn't deserve big money.

Whether he deserves it or not, Im in the camp of does it matter? What other freakin choice do we have?

I never gave serious credence to wasting the Hill years with this nonsense. But here we are.

He's TOO aggressive.
Yep! And I remember Tua toning it down ALOT under Flores. Feels like McDaniel took the leach off in the last 2 years but they definitely have to tone it down a notch.

It can (and should) be that a contract signed is honored. And my personal opinion is that Tua is fortunate the Dolphins exercised his 5th year option.
You sure about that? The Dolphins are fortunate they exercised the 5th year option. Or Tua would have been a free agent this year. So if they didn’t sign him they would have had to franchise him. If they franchised him that means no Brewer, no OBJ, no Fuller, and the middle linebacker can’t remember his name at this time.
