Bleach his skin and get blue contacts and call himself Stan Marino.
Did you see his last game against Seattle? Some people live to hate, if Dan Marino played in todays time some here would label him a choker.

Expectations are set so high these days. Pressure on any player at any levelSome people live to hate, if Dan Marino played in todays time some here would label him a choker.
Will Tua ever prove the doubters/haters wrong? What will it take for him to silence the critics, A superbowl? Few years of playoff contention? Never please anyone??
Lets be honest here. Even If Tua excels this year, haters are still gonna bring up stuff like, "of course he has weapons now", or "that was against the cardinals Defense". Seems to me he is in a lose lose situation. Like, other successful QBs have weapons but dont get the heat like he does... Im just wondering what must he do to gain some love?
Hmmm What a fitting response, im guessing youre one of those wierdos
Define toe to toe, didnt his team win against Herberts team? Or was it our defense that won that game? How about we start with Tua just not being benched? How about he not throw for less than a hundred yards 3 times or average less than 4.5 ypa 4 times. Why don't we start with those low hurdles first!
This thread makes it sound like his detractors are just unfair and unreasonable critics when the truth is they are 100% adequate to the occasion. He was atrocious last year. He doesn't possess the sort of arm or athleticism his young contemporaries do, that's just a fact. He's got everything to prove.
Can he go toe to toe with the likes of Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence and DeShaun Watson if other factors are even? Because he's eventually going to need to beat quarterbacks like that to advance in a murderous AFC going forward.
The better question is... what can Tua do to prove the cult/lovers wrong and stop with giving him every excuse in the book? Will Tua ever prove the doubters/haters wrong? What will it take for him to silence the critics, A superbowl? Few years of playoff contention? Never please anyone??

Burrow is a proven qb nowIf Herbert's team has a defense on par with Miami's, does Tua win a game like that? The question is pretty clear, can Tua put a bunch of points on the board against QBs that can take over a game? Guys like Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, Burrow, etc can just dominate a game and they'll be living in the AFC for many years.
I didn't even mention Mayfield, Tannehill or the unknown quantities of Wilson and Mac Jones. There is a possibility Tua is the 4th best QB in his own division. It's a reasonable question.

Exactly, what the heck has Joe Burrow proven yet? Burrow doesn't exactly have a strong arm and is he really that much more athletic than Tua? We will see how Burrow looks coming off of a serious injury as Tua did coming in as a rookie. As for Hebert we will see whether the numbers he put up as a rookie will be the norm or if it was just an aberration and he turns out to be a one year wonder. So many people love talking about the great defense Tua had to play with. Yet decide to overlook the superior talent on offense Herbert and Burrow were playing with.Burrow is a proven qb now
