I voted Lazor.

Not because his offense is rolling yet, but because he has a great grasp of the game and is a good leader of men.

He might make a better HC than an OC and certainly wouldn't do worse than Philbin.

LD

Based on the press conferences this week, this is true.

Philbin was waffling moron and Lazor was sharp and knew what the **** was going on.

Remember when the Bucs traded Oakland for Gruden?

They had a great defense but Dungy couldn't do anything with the offense.

Gruden would be my #1 choice.

The players would forget about philbin after the first 10 seconds of the very first practice.

Gruden grows old on the players/coaching staff/ front office after a few years.

Philbin making himself look incompetent at times. I like Lazor. I like his attitude and the way treats the players - your an adult with a job to do.

If Harbaugh is let go he needs to go back to college. Michigan will probably be looking for a new coach after this year.

Voted Harbaugh and other. The other that comes to mind is A&M coach Sumlin, he looks like a real coach to me. There's others I'm sure I'd figure out once I looked into it.

Looks like Harbaugh is the coach drawing the most interest. I have a feeling he will be the next coach at Michigan.

The two coaches who would add the most to the Phins are Auburn's Gus Malzahn or Baylor's Art Briles.

Philbin is a nice guy but not a head coach. Wasn't he Ross' s 4th choice to coach the Phins. The way he is calling out Tannehill and hanging him out to dry speaks volumes.

I've been opposed to college coaches for a long time, but at this point I think it might be the right move to get a guy who has proven to be a LEADER as a Head Coach, and if that comes from the college ranks, so be it. I'm tired of in-over-their-head coordinators trying to be head coach of the Dolphins.

If Harbaugh doesn't come, give me Malzahn, Sumlin, Briles or Shaw.

Personally, I think we need one guy to run the whole show. We need to find a credible coach and let him pick his own gm. You can't have too many cooks in the kitchen. Choose a great football mind and let him do his thing. I think the HC should be choosing the players that he has to work with. Enough with the fire the HC/Fire the GM BS. One person needs to lead this franchise and that person needs to be accountable. Maybe Harbaugh. I think it's difficult to give that responsibility to a coordinator or college coach. But this organization needs one voice.

um, what?

The HC as Czar model rarely works.

Over the long run its just too much for one person.

I would much prefer the highly competent GM overseeing everything including transitioning from one coach to the next.

um, what?

Well it certainly worked out in New England. Let's bring in Harbaugh and let him pick a GM that shares the same vision, instead of forcing two guys to work together. One person needs to be at the top of organization. Right now we don't who's calling the shots. It seems like it's Philbin.

The Coach Czar never worked well for us with Wanny or Satan. A case can be made that Parcells was the defacto coach also and look at the on and off field staff he put in as well. Ain't working in St Louis either with Coach Mediocre dictating the decisions through Les Snead his handmaiden.

Much better to give Hickey, who's done a pretty good job considering with what he's had to work, the benefit of the doubt and let him hire the next coach. Harbaugh is a Saban like raving loon and the last guy to whom I want to give the key to the kingdom! Now if Hickey in his wisdom wants to hire and work with him, now that's another story entirely.
