why not build around matt moore...

Moore is average and IF he is better than Henne which I highly doubt it is marginal but then again who did Moore - again who did he beat that our D didn't stomp first and when our D held Dallas and the Pats in check where or where was Moore?? Put your faith in Moore crazy - back up for sure starter - noWhen BM hangs into the ball and the D shows up and makes a stop and gains a turnover we have a good chance to win with Henne or Moore under Center but both are game managers

look i'm a guy who has watched matt moore and flynn tape and i'm sayin to all of you that i would roll the dice on flynn...doesn't mean we'll hit the jackpot likely won't but he's no more risky than anything we're looking at in the 2nd round of the draft and as long as we keep the guaranteed money to something we can work with and give ourselves an out should he fail its no big deal...this new rookie cba allows you to eat a contract like flynns should he fail and still draft a qb with your top pick and not go into salary cap hell...i would look into flynn...

anyways...the only reason i mentioned kurt warner cause he was a similar age with moore now when he entered the league and i think people on here think matt moore with more time has higher upside than he's shown...and frankly i think matt moore might have not only peaked but had a career year this season...i just don't see him even keeping up this level of play over the long haul...but bottom damn line is its still not good enough...we need more...unless we want to continue to have mediocre win loss results

EXACTLY! Well said sir! His fumbles were the major reason we lost 3 games too.

Here it is again, when you have nothing else fall back on the Henne thing. Sad and old. I have been saying the entire season I was wrong about Henne as a starter and now I see the same exact thing in Moore. I am tired of .500 or worse seasons regardless of who the QB is.....but if your argument for Moore includes anything to do with Henne, well that pretty much speaks for it self.
Please don't play the revisionist history card. It's alright that you were, but if you weren't with Henne all the way up until his injury, please cite some posts where you assert by inference that he and Moore are birds of the same feather.

For starters without any effort:

the fumbles are absolutely an issue...i don't care what anyone says...moore fumbles the ball too damn much.,..thats the kind of thing that shows its ugly head in the clutch in the postseason should you ever get there

and he'll take some game changing momentum sacks also...

i remember a while back when i used to argue over matt moore being better than henne with him, and then he would tell me he wasnt a moore hater or henne lover, and i found other threads of how he defended henne for doing the same exact things that he bashes moore for.

its pointless arguing with certain people over this topic. its not like we are saying moore is the franchise qb for sure, but some people will spin things any way they can.

What part about all season and saying I was wrong about Henne did you not understand Vaark? So you post stuff from July and August? Dude really? Also what does this have to do with Moore sucking? You are a smart guy who likes to show off his vocabulary, so you probably know what the word deflection means. If not, you can look it up. Or, I guess every time someone brings up Moore's obvious short comings, you can keep reverting back to Henne as an excuse for why I am pointing out obvious facts about a guy who can't break .500 even when playing a schedule with 1 team with a winning record. What ever floats your boat.

Blah blah blah blah. I have not supported Henne for a long time now, but ya'll use that as a crutch because Moore is just as bad....a little better in certain aspects, a little worse in others. Bottom line is they are both QB's that will get us to .500, Moore with a very weak schedule. So if that is what you want for a starting QB, I find that very sad.

Henne has had enough time to show his true colors.

Moore came in without having first team reps, barely knew the offense and still outplayed Henne.

Hmmmmm he did? How long did Henne have in the system? It was documented that the full offense wasn't completely installed until after the bye week, so if anything Moore was given much more time in the offense and the only one to play with it completely installed. If you don't think we would have won at least 6 games with Henne against a schedule with 1 team with a winning record, you are just being a homer.

It all comes down to beating quality teams, which Henne or Moore cannot do!!! I'm all for trading up for RG3 or rolling the dice on Flynn. We can't keep doing the same damn things and expecting different results. That's the definition of insanity!!! We have to make a bold move, and if it fails, we're still in the same situation. If it nets us a Franchise QB, then we become a contender again. RG3 would be a lot of fun to watch and put butts in the stadium. Think about all the times we kicked FGs inside the 5. RG3 can run those in!!! He adds a dimension to the offense we've never had!!! He's a smarter, more accurate version of Vick. Let's do it!!!

I thought this thread was about Moore as a solid starting QB which is already a shaky argument but the fact that people are still campaigning for Henne is just outrageous.
