Will Miami pull a San Diego??

I don't know if we can pull a SD(I hope we do), but I see us more as an 8-8 team this year and back in the playoffs in 2006.

I agree. It would be great to go to the playoffs this year, but its not likely. What really matters this year is the foundation we lay for next year and the years to come as the Dolphins franchise reinvents itself. Miami has a great legacy, but its time to build on that legacy and earn back the respect (and fear) of the rest of the league by fielding aggressive, winning teams for the rest of the decade. The more I see of Saban, the more I'm convinced that he is the man to do it. The next two seasons will decide that.

it all depends on AJ.

or Gus Frerotte. Let's not forget our starting QB has not yet been decided. Gus and AJ will compete for the starting job. I see Frerotte winning it due to the fact he has two Critical Advantages. He has more experience, and he knows the system. Skill wise? From what ive seen it looks like Frerotte is a better QB. I think Saban will end up cutting Feeley after the 05-06 season. Let's not forget Saban did not trade for Feeley. He isn't his guy, so i doubt he will hesitate to cut him if he doesn't perform this season.

Don't get your fellow FinFans worked up with these stats.

That "sampling of 3-4 games" Was three games against ATL, DET, and San Fran.

Rank against the pass for these teams in 03?

Falcons- 29
SanFran- 27
Lions - 25

Gus Ferotte is a nice security blanket, but if AJ bombs he's not gonna be your savior.
I know hes no savior. Im campaigning for him to be starting so we never have to see just how bad Aj can be even with a real coach at the helm.

You people are unbelievable. :shakeno:
By "you people" I am talking about folks who are bashing Feeley for his play last year. Behind that line, running that scheme (if you can call it that). '84 Marino wouldn't have had a good year last season. Speaking of Dan, he isn't coming back so quit expecting him to show up in Feeley or anyone else.
No you people that stand up and make excuses for AJ are unbelievable. Dont even put guys like Marino in the same breath with AJ; they do things like make their team significantly better. Aj makes his team significantly worse. I dont expect another Dan; I expect a qb with a competant brain. That qb is not AJ. :fire:

hey patsdynasty, guess what, the dynasty is over...pats are on the decline, bills are stagnant if not on the decline(losman), and the only team im afraid of is the jets, yes i said it, theyre on the rise, and i think theyll win the division...that being said, the fins are on the rise, this year they may improve a little, but just wait till the second year of saban era, it will be something to marvel
:roflmao: :roflmao:

u wish the dyNEsty is over and on the decline!!!!!

but the fact is its not, team is loaded more than ever this year and chad brown is very close to becoming a pat!!!!!!

that will be announced anytime now......

Hey patsdynasty, I know the Pat's system is awesome. But...How is your bragging of signing Chad Brown, AKA the Dinosaur, different from our signing of Junior Seau a few years back???

All the pats, jets and bills fans made fun of us signing a geezer.

Chad Brown won't make your team a whole lot better. I can't remember his name being called for the 'Hawks within the past two years.

Now, with that being said, yes, the pats are still the team to beat.

I could see the Pats doin well again this year, but i dont think u guys will win ur 3rd super bowl in a row. I think loseing the co-ordinators will be the Pats downfall. But thats just my opinion.

if nick is like bill b then u guys go 5-11 this year, bill b and the pats went 5-11 his 1st year as coach.....

The reason I don't think they will pull a San Diego is because the players are starting over with a new system and coaching staff.

Bashing the Patriots has become oh-so-fashionable-and-tendy. Ho-hum.

You are wrong...Marino would have been knocked out w/i 2 games behind that line and with the coaching that we had.

Feeley deserves a chance. He hasn't had it yet.

Lets pass judgement after Saban makes an assessment...and then perhaps you can be da' man who said "i told you so"...... :shakeno:

:roflmao: I hear ya...I'd say the same damn thing if I had three rings on my finger. Sort of like ragging on a Mercedes.....it's priceless.

After next year though...you will be knocked down a few notches and then comments might hurt again....(G).

Im Hoping we pull a Carolina! They did a 1-15 season and then the next year go to the super bowl! I hope we have a dismal season and then the next season go to the super bowl just like the panthers did with Delhomme did as their quaterback!!!!!!!

Much respect.

See, I'm all for hating us, etc. But to talk trash at this point in time makes one look like a less intelligent fan. I understand everyone wants to bring a champion down, but the way to go about it is on the field.

Good analogy with the Mercedes. Thanks for the honesty.
