You can laugh but nice job by Herbet taking a sack on a cornerback blitz then under throwing his receiver on an easy over route...

Listen dude we can all iso one play to make our dull point.

You don't like the dude -- that's OK. But I try to have an OPEN mind

and perspective on ALL players and not play closeted BFFs!

back was suppose to pick that up. And it looked like tbe wr should have stayed wide vs what I thought was zone instead of continuing inside.

anyways his process has had him take 2 short sacks today but that arm has regained the sticks like the play after.

Back did pick it up but he’s gotta feel better for the pocket and move. That’s a bad throw by Herbert - I’m not a big fan. Just reminds me of a less polished version of Tannnehill with a better arm

I get some of that.

but the back didn’t pick it up at all. The 3rd down play is zone and the wr runs right into the inside zone defenders coverage. Herbert throws it where it should be if he sits instead of carries inside. And it’s gonna convert 3rd and 13

I don't like Herbet's lack of reads/progressions in his pistol/zone offense. He isn't like Lamar Jackson where he is the athlete to compensate for not being able to do it sometimes (And Jackson is vastly improving in this too). He definitely has the top tools but he reminds me of Tannenhill without the ability to read defenses as well, but slightly better tools.

Tua's pocket presence is near Brees and Russel Wilson's... I would draft him with my top pick and still sit him for the year. His throw today to Jeudy on that out route but turn into an out and up after looking at the other side of the field for two seconds was outstanding. I don't see Burrow or Herbert or Fromm doing that...

I would have liked to see Tua behind Fromm’s Oline.

Herbert's wheels are legit my man. His accuracy does drop off after the second read though. But he has everything that you cannot teach and his weakness' you can teach and improve.

As much as I love Herbert. I would have loved to see Tua honor his first commitment and play behind Oregon's amazing O-Line

That Center and the Guard with the french name will have NFL careers.

The freshman LT (always forget his name) is amazingly good, gonna have to wait a few years for him though.

I really don't get it. If you understand it is a long term problem, why would you draft him?

Ppl need to step back from the emotional attatchment, and take a rational view. We aren't talking about a proven commodity here.

Taking him late in the draft, on a flyer is one thing, using a high pick defies logic, if your starting point is seeing it as a "long term problem".
You in politics?

:)
lol definitely not

I could see just taking love and redshirting him for a year. Or until fitz plays himself to the bench.

be interesting to see if rosen returns. Might be a indicator of what style o they plan to run.
This might be smartest option.
Georgia LT Thomas
Love with Pitt pick
OK Center Humphrey Houston pick

Sign a Scherff or Tuney
Really build a dominant OL.
Fitz starts 2020 - Love latter 2020/ 2021

A lot of this still comes down to style... if you want a run-pass option QB (I don't), you go away from Rosen. If you want a pocket guy, you build around Rosen and take a 2nd round shot on Eason if he's still available.

Now... be honest, which system do you see a hard *** defensive specialist adopting?

Rosen shouldn't even be an option. If he develops and surprises, fine. But what on earth has he shown to make the Dolphins plan on building around him? That would be the worst case scenario.

If Rosen is your QB in 2020 then Trevor Lawrence/Justin Fields are in the cards.

Again, for Lawrence or Fields next year you have to have a top pick. They will have similar seasons and be considered one of the top picks in 2021. It is an ongoing cycle. We are going to have to get lucky on the frony office picking a QB outside of the obvious. That is much more of a crapshoot that what is deemed to be the "top" qb prospect.
Again many on this board keep saying what are the odds that the #1 pick is "the man".

The better question is that after the top 1/2 abs are gone, what percent of the other 15 that are drafted in the draft wind up being "the man". For every Mahomes or Dak there are dozens of QBs that amount to absolutely nothing. I would say the hit rate on QBs after middle of round 1 is under 5%.

Not exactly good odds.
