Argentina VS Germany Fixed!!

Would those same reasons apply if Italy was on the short end of the stick? NO! WE WOULD JUST BE MAKING EXCUSES IN YOUR EYES. I dont want to hear it, any of it.

No. That isn't it.

Quelonio..Pekerman already resigned...

And not only that, but Messi wouldn't have done squat against Germany. They where Elephants and he was an ant.

I don't know why you keep saying that, look at Tevez, they couldn't handle him, I don't think they could have handled Messi either

But still I have to say that officiating is a big part of most sports. And it's the only part, a team can't control. It's also the only part of a game that is supposed to not determine the outcome of a game. But if it does, you have all the rights to feel treated bad and to complain, no matter how you played. And to loose a game on a non-call in a tournament, that is played only every 4th year is terrible for a team and its fans.

No game hinges on one call. If the score is tied 21-21 in a football game, it took you the other 59 minutes of the game to get there. And who knows what holding calls that weren't called set up big plays to get THOSE points? A play is a play--but plays are magnified when they are late in the game.

Does somebody have the right to protest a bad call? Sure. However, 90% of the time, nobody has the right to say the official took the game away from them.

Tevez didn't do THAT much either....

Tevez was excellent all game. He held the line well, he worked as hard as anyone I've seen this tournament, he was strong on the ball, he held it up well and brought others into play.

But I let you live in the belief that the game was fixed...because Germany needed it so badly.

:sidelol:

Hey, talk about unjustified accusations!! You show me ANY statement I made that says I claim the match was fixed!!!!

Let me say :sidelol: to your reading comprehension abilities!

Was strong..I don't think Messi could be as strong...

Argentina lost this game for one reason and one reason only. We lost Abbondanzieri. I knew the Germans would tie up the game once we lost our keeper...I also knew that by losing our starting keeper Argentina had no chance in the penalty kicks. Couple that with two really BAD tries from our shooters and our fate was sealed.

I don't know but I always assumed that the substitute keeper is the second best a nation has available. Not even Abbondanzieri could have done a dam thing about the header from Klose. That thing was a rocket into the far end of the goal.

Regarding PKs: Its all about preparation. Lehman went every single time to the side of the goal where the ball went. Before the PKs our goalie coach Koepke gave Lehman a piece of paper. Every Argentine player was listed on it and how they shoot. Once Lehman knew the shooters as they lined up he just picked those off the note.

I don't know why you all think that Argentina is the greatest team on earth . They were a favorite for the Cup sure but no safe bet. They barely beat the Ivory Coast, they drew the Netherlands to a 0-0 and beat a Mexican team which was better than Argentina. Argentina is a far cry from a great team. Some of you ***** about HFA but forhet that Argentina won its second championship (after decades in the soccer darkness) at home. Some of you talk about "game being fixed" yet the third argentine championship was made possible by the "Hand of God" which every donkey on this earth saw except the referee.

The exception from south America is Brazil. But just because Brazil is battling Argentina on a regular basis doesn't make Argentina a great team.

To be a great team you have to overcome adversity. And to be a great team you have to win with class, and you have to lose with class. But the Argentine team is a bunch of whiners. I certainly hope they get punished severely for their after game antics. It was a disgrace to soccer.
