ARMANDO SALGUERO Fins not interested in Watson

*Note, I'm not in the trade Tua wagon

Miami would be stupid to comment that they were interested in Watson. He's under contract, and they have a young guy in Tua who as of now is their starter for 2021.

If things detiorate in the near future between Watson and the Texans, and he wants out, it would be prudent to at least check to see what Texans would want. If it's stupid high, we walk away.

Miami is probably the only team in the league that has draft capital, cap room, and a young high projection qb to send back. I can not think of any other team has all three.
Then you add South beach, no state income tax, great HC, an owner who is not cheap and hands off, and already has a solid defense. No other city can match.

We are a dream for young qb like DW, and he has a say because of the no trade claus. Even if a team can come up with #1 in next ten years, DW can say no.

We are in driver seat folks.

There is no precedent for this type of trade in the NFL. Setting the market for Watson is impossible to know since no QB in history was a young top 5 Franchise QB.

If Houston gave two 1st for Tunsil, what is Watson worth?
That's a very good point re: Tunsil except for the guy that pulled the trigger for HOU on that trade has no business making those kinds of moves.

that being said, I predict it will take the following in order to trade for Watson(in no particular order of importance):
- two 1st, two 2nd round picks
- tua
- the firstborn child of everyone in the Fins front office
- 4 VIP disney passes for the next decade for everyone in the Houston front office

And that deal didn't involve a young tackle coming back.

Houston isn't much better. Now with the cap being lowered it will be even worse for a lot of teams.

Edit: well OK I hadn't realized the Saints were 90m in the hole lol.....so yeah maybe Houston is much better.
Yeah, Saints overage could be as much as half the entire salary cap.😆😆

We also are a favorite of Deshaun's, as his mom can drive to the games. He said a large majority of his family lives within 2 hours of Miami. They did a big pre draft interview with D. Watson and about the Miami Dolphins... he grew up in Gainesville, he was a Marino fan, his family lives near somewhat South Florida, and he wants to be closer to them. Oh yeah and hes a top 4 NFL quarterbacks

Lol what do Dolphins coaches know, we on forum say deshaun need to be traded for a trove of picks. Do it!!
What did Nick Saban know when he picked a running back over Aaron Rodgers?

I guess some think NFL people never are wrong?

No...the truth is if you can get 25 year old proven commodity top 5 QB at the right price...it’s a no brainer.

I also think the Dolphins are smart enough to not tip their hand and give away bargaining position....or alienate their current starter until there is a reason too.

trade tua + 3 + 18 + 36 + 50 + next years first + 2023 first for deshaun. NFL dont know right and wrong sometime

He could be and I hope he is but if he’s not we have the picks to move on without being set back. Trading for Watson is going all in with no alternative if the plan fails as we would no longer have resources to recover.
What picks? They’re using those to improve the team, but replace Tua.
