Barry Jackson Gives a Critical Look at the Coaching Staff

I'll be honest with you everyone here on Finheaven. Yes, we may not have the greatest coaching staff, owner or players. But, at some point you gotta have pride and say, "Screw you national and local media" I am NOT gonna allow you to talk crap about my team.

It's like having a family member that may not all be there! Of-course within the family everyone knows it, But are you really gonna sit-back and allow outsiders to sit there and make fun and take Jabs at them? HELL NO!

It's disgusting, IMO, that we have "fans" that are perfectly okay and go to lengths to help outsiders that absolutely don't care about our team, pile on. You DISGUST ME!!! YOU FREAK'IN HEAR ME??

MODS..NEED to take a proactive stance on this. NO MORE, Dolphins bashing post from the outside. NONE!! If internally we as a family we want to talk trash about our team? Then that's fine. But, no more allowing people to come into our house and crap on our floor!!!

It's been that way for a while. The beatwriters here are the same as in New York. They know that people will read entertainment (drama) over actual facts (journalism). They just play the part... I don't respect nor read any of those type of "reports". I kind of mentally shut off when I hear that a story is done by Kelly, Armando or the opinion of rotoworld and completely ignore it. Now, if it was done by Barry Jackson or someone that I know is just stating facts then i'd take a look. You don't have to read that stuff, you do know that you're supporting that type of thing by doing so, right? Just stop reading it.

Philbin should have been canned after that epic collapse plain and simple.

Epic collapse? REALLY? You obviously don't recall the Late Shula thru Wanny yrs where the team would get off to a pretty good start them come mid Nov fade down the stretch.

I wonder if Saints fans are being as childish? As of late Nov, they were in contention for the #1 seed in the NFC then things fell apart.

What's funny (or sad) is that Miami's own press seems more critical of the Dolphins than anyone else, including some serious haters at the national level (which is hard to do).

The S Florida media is no better or worse than anywhere else in the nation. An interesting case in point; In both SLC papers plus the local CBS & NBC affiliates, byu can do no wrong EVER yet the University of Utah might as well be Hannibal Lecter, Darth Vader, & Genghis Khan all rolled into one.

Sounds like Joe should allow Lazor to hire his own guys.

if you just watch this team closely and especially the last 2 games, you see a team that is more often than not very flat to start games, makes no halftime adjustments and played emotionless the last 2 weeks of the season. philbin was an absolutely awful hire as head coach but the the guy doing the hiring is about as stupid and clueless as it gets. to think he did the reverse of what hes doing this year 2 years ago and now hes doing the same exact thing by firing the gm and keeping the coach is unbelievable. this guy is the biggest ass clown owner in the nfl. this is truly a dark dark era in dolphin football.

I knew if this was posted it was going to be Hayden! There is some concern over what was said, granted its a few associates of players that stated this. EVERY coach hires people he knows & is familiar with look Caldwell hired Asst HC b/c he knew him & he was the OC at Rutgers, Chud last year hired Turner who he knew from his time in SD Whisenhut has hired people he knew it happens by EVERY team. Criticize all you want about the left over coaches being better WHY NOT give Philbin credit for recognizing their abilities & keeping them.

Except they hired people that actually had experience and knowledge of their respective positions.

7 points in 2 games vs inferior opponents = epic collapse. Embarrassing.

At the end of the day, when everything is said and done, the players, at the very least have to have some pride about themselves and the profession they chose and if for no reason at all be willing to fight for their brothers lined up next to them.

Coaching fundamentals and specific plays are one thing, but if you need them to teach you basic execution after practicing it with you 100 times by also holding your damn hand on the football field and doing your damn job for you then I can't help but wonder if we have the wrong kinda players in Miami, and have had them for many many years now.

Take it upon yourself, stop pointing fingers, and individually get better for your teammates.

Stop being selfish and solely thinking about you, or your contract, or how many yards you gain, or what your particular role is, or how many touches you get, or how many snaps you play, or how many hoes you're gonna make it rain on after a game, etc.. Just be accountable, just focus and take responsibility for what you do between those white lines. Believe in what you're doing. Always strive to improve for the greater good of the team. Even if you don't personally like the men you battle with. Because after all, they are all you got.

I swear this infighting **** has got to stop!

Losing the last two games the way we did was a pretty epic collapse. We have collapsed before losing when all we had to do was win but we didn't even show up for these games. In 2002 we lost the last two games but at least we played them close and acted like we had some heart We lost the final two games both by field goals and one in overtime. Now the most epic collapse we ever had was 1993 when we lost our final 5 games although we lost our starting qb that year> we were still competitive in 3 of the 5 losses

Philbin should have been fired with Ireland and Sherman. Thanks you owner Stephen Ross for delaying the inevitable again, and causing another season of mediocrity and underachievement. It was more exciting watching the Fins go 1-15 years ago then watch the crap Philbin and HIS coaches put on the field this year

sorry gentlemen, still frustrated!

There is something to this. We are a traumatized depressed non trusting bunch.

This is in response to post saying So Fla fans are toxic.

Some players don't respect or like their coaches?

Shocking!

lol

I think as soon as we learned about that incident we knew the Browns had no clue. Why else would they have traded for him?

One more black eye for the Dolphins thanks to Jeff Ireland.

how is this a black eye? He got the Browns to take him without them doing their due diligence.

Bill Belichick breaks the leauge rules and we are suppose to love that guy! yeah, integrity. It all depends on your agenda.
