Building a team was the point of this season.

I forgot about Cox, I think they keep him also. Laird has shown to be a good pass-catcher out of the backfield if anything and runs hard and Wilson seems to be hitting his stride as of late. Seems he had a little rust to blow off...
Love BNF in your sig brother! Merry Christmas!

Because when Rosen was the guy he was the only offensive player we could really evaluate. Couldn't evaluate any of the skill position guys because of how awful he was.

Look at the before and after Rosen effects with our team MVP. Night and day. Parker doesn't get off like that if Rosen remained the starter. No chance. Feel the same with Gesicki.

Not sure about Cox. He never impressed me as a top FB, but keep A FB? Likely

I'm uncomfortable with "with their spots more or less guaranteed."
Let's try this. I'll list the players I think could be starters next year. For the most part, I'm skipping some IR guys
OL - at least 2 of Boehm, Kilgore, Davis, Deiter

Really only Kilgore might deserve a starting spot.

Here are all of our OL PFF rankings (out of 82).

Boehm: 73rd
Calhoun: 78th
Deiter: 79th

Davis: 58th
Davenport: 66th
Webb: 82nd (dead last)

Kilgore: 17th out of 37th.

Is that for all 15 games or only the last 10? May not make a difference.
Anyway, I still think two of those 4 start next year

I can't disagree, but I have some hope that Dieter comes back stroger and wiser. Sometimes. baptism by fire has its benifits.

While I also believe Kilgore is a solid, if not spectacular, player, he has value as a leader and veteran presence that shouldn't ne discounted.

I also want to draft a center, maybe day two, at some point. Centers that are ready to go day 1 are rare, so the one we would get this draft gets a year to develop.

Way too early 2020 roster prediction, but as this thread stated, finding who can contribute next year as been part of the objective for this year.
QB (2 or 3 - depends we if get Tua) Fitz, Tua, one of Rosen or Ruddock think we trade Rosen if we can. Or Fitz & Love
RB (4) – new 3 down back, Power back (Perine has first audtion), Laird & Gaskin
TE (4) – Gesicki, Smythe, Myrick, new blocking TE (late draft or FA)
WR (6) – Parker, Williams, Ford, Hurns, Wilson. One of Grant or Hollins based on Return/ST influence.
OL (8 of 9 [see QB above]) – 4 new starters (early draft picks & FA) plus Davis. Dieter & Boehm backup G & C. Davenport or new swing tackle or both
Specialists – All 3 return but Haack has to beat out a UDFA
iDL (5) – Wilkins, Godchaux, Jenkins, Stiegel and a FA or Neto
Edge (4) – two from Charlton, Harris, Willis, Leadbetter plus Prem FA and a early Draft pick
LB (7) – McMillian, Baker, Eguavoen, Beigel, Van Ginkel plus one FA, one draft pick
CB (6) – Howard, FA as #2, Needham, McCain (Slot), Wilks (Dime) Tankersley or a Draft pick
S(3) – Rowe plus FA and draft pick

Draft picks on the roster (8)– QB, RB, 2 OL, Edge, LB, S, Blocking TE
FA on the roster (8)– Power Back, 2 OL, iDL, Edge, LB, CB, S
That 16 contributors from 100m & 12-14 Draft picks meaning 37 returning players

We won’t be active rostering 12 picks, or I should say that’s highly unlikely. 7-8 is more accurate...then you’ve got practice squad.

Grant signed an extension so he should stay. I think Taco stays. Jones and Kilgore, as you mentioned. are likely not here in 2020.

There’s only a few guys that I would say should be guaranteed to return in 2020 and none of them would be QBs.

My list is short. Preston Williams, Dvp, raekwon mcmillan, Jerome baker, gesicki, howard, Godchaux, Wilkins, rowe
Davis as RT
Needham - CB 4 - Dime package.
Biegel- ST- rotational edge

I must’ve missed Taxo extension. I thought saw zero dead money next year. Pass for me.
