Clear area to improve

Yards after catch is almost exclusively dependent on where the qb is placing the ball.
If your reciever has to make adjustments just to make a completion, he's not afforded the opportunity to make adjustments for extra yardage.
Tua is dink and dunk and only knows how to hit a reciever on a stop route after he's open instead of leading him into the catch.
The problems Tua is having does not fall on anyone except Tua. There are multiple targets on every play, but throwing to the checkdown each time is a choice.
Fitzpatrick doesn't have these problems with the same supporting cast.
You can teach a quarterback a playbook, and a smart quarterback can use that knowledge to audible into an ideal play. However, just like speed, you can't teach field vision. You either have it or you don't. Tua doesn't.
This is literally made up. He's throwing crossing routes and throwing to TEs who get tackled by the first guy every single time when they're not bobbling the ball like Grant.

Well it’s tua’s fault he should be throwing them open

He’s a rookie lol.

How many rookie qb’s display all the nuances of the game in their first 9-10 starts? Lmao. Throwing guys open is what veteran quarterbacks who have years and years of experience do. Fitzpatrick is a 16 year vet, of course he can throw people open.

Ya’ll are ON ONE on this board bro

11 drops on catchable passes yesterday.

Not to say Tua does not have areas he needs to work on (he does) but I think a couple things are clear.

1. Our weapons don't catch the ball well

2. They don't get open

3. They don't move after the catch.

4. They don't break tackles.

Those things are true no matter who is the QB
Anyone watching the games has seen all of these things. It's certainly a problem.

Why rate time to throw from worst to best? It would make more sense from best to worst. Either way, it shows that our rookie OL isn't quite as good as first thought.
It never was. We've been in the mid 20s in both pass block and run block win %s all year. It just looks "good" because "not completely abysmal" was still a huge step up from last season.

Nice try but they equally sucked with Fitzpatrick throwing them the ball

see : New England and both jets game we hardly could complete passes to wr
Same thing game 2 vs Buffalo
Same thing game 3 vs Jacksonville
Same thing game 4 vs Seattle

Why are you people tend to forget all that ?
Fitzpatrick was awfull except for a magical moment vs the raiders and 3 easy games vs jets and. Jags

Fitz doesn't even throw people open. If he did he would have made the playoffs at some point and wouldn't be throwing so many picks. What Fitz does is give his receivers chances to make plays. It looks pretty sometimes when the receiver wins, but when the DB wins it significantly impacts the team's ability to win.

Is Fitzpatrick your measuring stick? There is a reason this is his 57th team.
A top 5 draft pick should bring immediate improvement to his position. He should not be outperformed by a 7th round draft pick who gets traded around from team to team out of necessity.
