How far will you people go for a winner?

What would be too much to let David Boston come back? What would be to much to let Ray Lewis come back? Terrell Owens? Jamal Lewis?

What would be too much for RW? I would say for him to do the exact same thing again. That would be too much. But i am willing to give him a second chance. I think we've all been given second chances and I think we've all deserved them.

David Boston shouldn't get one from our team in my mind. I have been very vocal on it. So it's once bitten twice shy for you eh? I'm of the mind that you can forgive one mistake. The problem with Ricky is not the quitting. It's the lying. The guy can't keep his damn lies straight. This is a repeat offense on his part that should have the Fin faithful questioning his integrity and his desire to truely help this franchise be a contender. It's a matter of principle. I like to think of the Dolphins as a solid NFL franchise with a strong legacy of leadership and integrity. Maybe he will clean up his act and play great. Maybe. But even if he does I still believe that the Dolphins have made a move here that questions the foundation of what makes a member of the Miami Dolphins and certainly lowers the bar on our level of excellence.

Judging by the tone of your comments, it appears you are a Wacky basher, (and I have bashed him my share too) but TO THIS POINT....His actions have hurt the team, hurt his teammates in particular and hurt the coaches (old regime, that is)...He dissapointed me as a fan only because he quit at a time when the FO really had few recourses to compensate for his leaving. But he hasn't done anything that is immoral or against the law (save for the weed, but the law was not involved in that part of his problems.)

How far is too much...I don't know...It's not my decision to make...if I and 40,000 other fans boo RW every time he touches the ball next year and he still runs for 800-1000 yards and keeps his nose clean (drugs, steroids), then he'll still be on the team and playing, even tho I am booing him...Wayne isn't going to have RW cut or traded just because the fans boo him or don't like what he has done...How long RW stays a Fin is entirely up to him right now. If he comes back to reality and gets his body back in shape and can return to somewhere near his old self...people are not going to complain, despite what he has done.

Here are my limits:

1. He chokes his coach like Latrell Sprewell did several years ago.

2. Arrested and convicted of a sick crime (ie, sex crime, drug dealing, serious violence, or somethig along those lines).

3. Does a Pete Rose and gets into "evil" betting.

4. If he starts to whine again about his contract and starts to make a threat that he won't come back if he doesn't get his full contract (with incentives) re-instated (and that he wont have to give back his signing bonus).

I'm not hugging him. I actually don't care about him...and I just want my team to win. Having to play for a minimum type of contract (a contract that is without incentives due to his breach of contract) would be enough for me as punishment for the time being...So he deserves one chance to make amends, imo. What he did was immature and irresponsible but not a crime. Let him have one chance I say.

Well I wasnt aware that it was up to me whether or not to take Ricky back, Ill be sure to get a memo to Saban and let him know what to do. Then Ill send one to Wayne and let him know how to spend his millions. If Saban is willing to risk a promising coaching career to let Ricky come back and Wayne H. is forking over millions they must have done a little bit of research dont you think?
We have Ronnie Brown, if Ricky reverts to form f-him, cut him and move on. I dont understand the chicken little's crying about the sky fallin on em. Its really a low risk move. Either we get a great Rb, a good backup to RB or we dump him. Win win.

When I posed the question about Boston, it wasn't directed at you. I am just throwing something else out ther for ANYONE who don't want RW to come back but have nothing to say about what Boston did and his coming back. My point is, it's funny that since Boston wasn't such a huge part of our team, it's easier for people to look past what he did. But since RW was THE biggest part of our team, most people hate him for what he did. The bottom line is, importance of the players aside, very similar mistakes were made. So why should one sin go unpunished and the other be forgiven? I am willing to give them both a second chance. After that, I'd wash my hands of both of them.
 
I find what Ricky did, FAR less problematic than killing a mother because of driving drunk like Leonard Little. If they can bring Leonard back with open arms and support him then I sure can at least give Ricky a second chance. I don't agree with the way Ricky went about dealing with his supposed problems, but what's done is done and I welcome him back. Had he killed a Miami Mother of 2 because he was out driving drunk around the City, I would NOT want nor welcome him back! Leonard Little is a murderer in my book, plain and simple!

I know Megatron praised ytou for such a specific answer, but I think it's kind of ludicrous to try and delineate what passes and what doesn't. It depends on the value an orgainzation is getting out of a person.

I'd be willing to bet there wasn't one single thing that Randy Moss did last season that made Vikings management say ... "Whoa! That's #3 on the List of Things We Will Not Tolerate" and trade him. They just decided that they had reached the point at which it was better for the team trading him than keeping him.
