HUGE Pats and Chargers fans

Im giving this a bump because it was a really good and informative post, but i just camt believe that you of all people still have hope. That was one of the worst dolphins games ive ever watched.

In all honesty, as much as it pains me to say it, we don't deserve the playoffs. We played like total **** today. Even if we beat the jets next week, we will be woefully unprepared to make any kind of playoff run. If you think this game was bad, I would hate to face any team in the playoffs with our coaches mentality of doing it over and over till it works. You would think that trying it 100 times would be enough to tell anyone that it doesn't work, but with our coaches it never sinks in.

I disagree with all of you. A Ravens win means the Bengals have something to play for next week at home. Cincinnati would then be playing for 1) the division title; and 2) a first round bye. We should root for a Ravens win, coupled with two San Diego wins, and a Ravens loss in week 17 against the Bengals. ... Oh and a dolphins win against the jets.

I just don't understand how some fans just perceive one game like it is how we played all year. I mean we beat the bengals, pats, colts, damn near beat the panthers. This is a team that can play with anyone. This game is not an indicator of how the team always plays. Not by a long shot. I want to get in the playoffs. I don't care if it takes a miracle come back vs the lousy jets and some help. Get in and you don't know what happens. I sure hope the team doesn't lay down like many of the fans next week. Just get into the playoffs. I understand the heartache every year but I am sure as hell glad we still have a chance. I would rather feel like we got a shot then to be done with nothing to look forward to next week.

a ravens win and chargers wins eliminates us genius.

Pats up 14-0 with the ball
San Diego up 3-0 with the ball

Actually a ravens win and a chargers win would be the only way we would be alive if raven won. If raven win and chargers lose then we lose the chance for a 3 way tie, thus eliminating us.

If you can't just win out to beat the pathetic Bills and Jets... I don't know I'm at a loss for words.

This a poor excuse for a playoff contender. Watching this Jets game is going to be nothing but a waste of time. A winning season, yay!

And sorry about the grammar, I am just too upset to care about my typing right now.

Best scenario would be ravens lose and chargers win. That way even if the ravens win against a bengals team that will probably be resting starters, Miami could still make it with a chargers and Miami win.

As long as San diego win next week to. Forcing a three way tie which we would win.

Or a ravens loss next week with a loss to NE

If pats and sd win. And Miami wins vs ny next week. We are in?

No. In order to make the playoffs, Miami needs the following:

Win next week vs Jets, AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TO HAPPEN: Ravens finish 0-2, OR Ravens finish 1-1 and San Diego wins out.

So, bottom line, if Ravens lose this game and the Chargers win, we STILL need either a Chargers win or Ravens loss next week.

The Bengals do have something to play for even if the Ravens lose this week. It's called the 2-seed and a first round bye. We shouldn't be rooting for crazy scenarios, we need to be rooting for the surest thing and that's Baltimore losing as much as possible and San Diego winning.

If pats and sd win. And Miami wins vs ny next week. We are in?

No, still would need either A) Baltimore to lose to Cincy OR B) San Diego to beat Kansas City

We need this because if the Fins tie with Baltimore straight up they would lose a tiebreaker
If Baltimore wins and San Diego wins (to make all of the teams 9-7) then Miami would win a 3-Team tiebreaker
