You think that Vontae was a BIG PART of the sucking of the last few years?:bobdole:

There is no question about it.

Started at CB, got toasted on the reg, quit on the team during games at times, couldnt outplay any WR for a ball in the air, comes in to practice drunk during the middle of the season, comes into camp out of shape. Vontae is a worthless POS.

Again, Ive laid this challenge out to everyone of you Vontae fluffers. Name me the occasion that Vontae had a huge positive impact for this team that resulted in something that mattered? I took the INT vs. Brady in the back of the endzone to seal that ONE win. Name me something else. Go ahead. I will be waiting. This is not just open to you. All Vontae fluffers are welcome to answer.

I think Vontae knew his time was up with the Dolphins after he strong armed that Falcons receiver on Wednesday. Looked like he just didn't give a shiz anymore.

Philbin too conservative and soft spoken to be a head coach

He speaks softly but carries a big ****ing stick. And any dumb thugs that want to find out the hard way are welcome to. If they dont, they can just go ax somebody..... namely Chad Johnson, Brandon Marshall, or Vontae Davis. NEXT!!

Dansby.... keep acting like a moron and try to cancer up the locker room. Youre overpaid ass is next if you dont get with the program pal. This is a team of professionals. They play together, win together, and lose together. But, its done with class. All for one and one for all. If youre not down with that.... then you dont have to go home but you gotta get the **** up outta here.

This better be for ****ing Reggie Wayne or something... god dammit...

I don't like this move at all.

Wow for a damn 2nd round pick? Come on, Ireland, you'd better have something up your sleeve.

You are correct my friend.......this is clearly a STUPID trade........what the HELL is Ireland thinking.......CRAP CRAP :-(

i love Vontae Davis, he was great, he played good ball, but played 2, he took some off lost his cool, he got sucker punched alot after the whistle.
dont tell me that coach's on the other team don't know he blows up, when handled!!!!. i hate hes gone but glad for a 2nd pick. i dont like Ireland.
but we need this pick for our young qb, we need a great WR with Speed (The good hands people) :))

WV must be bored. It's hard to exert so much energy towards keeping things real with a team when it has such a ****ty reality. You have to get fed up at some point.

You want to see the impact of Vontae on this pass D, you only need to see what happens when a lesser corner like Carroll stumbled around out there and got eaten alive. It's a little strange to lay the blame on the pass D's struggles on Vontae when the secondary included the WORST cover safeties in the league, rookie late round picks, and Benny ****ing Sapp.

If he has to cut and or trade people to get a point across just shows he has no people skills. The fact that we were able to get good draft picks for every "head case" proves that. People are willing to induce discipline and work with others not cut and trade people before season even starts. I wouldn't mind having dez Bryant, suh, Desean Jackson, ray Lewis, Ben rothsberger etc... All of those are superstars and if Philbin was there new head coach he would of traded them with the actions they commited or alledging

actions speak louder than words.

Why he care so much what chad says in a press conference? I think as a new head coach he has bigger issues in hand

This reminds me of Mike Singletary's "I want winners, Cant do it" speech when he was blasting Vernon. Only he wasn't dumb enough to trade his best offensive weapon and best secondary player.

We should just field a team of school boys.

How are we going to continue our streak of being a top 5 pass defense without Vontae here??? Oh wait...... It's a bad trade if Vontae develops into a Pro Bowl corner, but he hasn't showed the maturity to do that at this point. I'm neither defending or damning the trade. If Vontae's a screw up the rest of his career it won't be a bad trade at all. What's obvious is they are flipping the roster. New schemes on both sides of the ball, and new coaching staff who want to change course here. Hayden Fox was right. This is Philbin wanting to get his guys in here. Think about it for a second. We are unloading guys that were Ireland pick ups in Marshall and Davis for picks. He's not going to do that on his own. It's a direct admission of his own failure. Somebody else wanted those guys gone and has the power to make it happen. We absolutely are rebuilding and Phibin doesn't think Vontae is a block you can build on. If he's right and Davis' attitude will be a career long shortcoming there is nothing wrong with the trade. If Phibin's wrong he won't be an NFL coach long.
