Salguero: Ireland told his job is safe

How quickly armando forgets, that steelers defense SUCKS at stopping the run...

Worst news I've heard all day the same day my car engine blew, my dog got hit by a car and my wife told me she's pregnant with my best friends baby.

We are a MEDIOCRE team that at this moment sits out of the playoff picture, and needs outside help to get in. I would like that to change at some point, and become one of the GOOD teams in the league that doesn't need outside help to get in. Get it?

Baltimore was 10 seconds away from losing to Minnesota that would've put them at 6-7 which they'd then need other teams to help them get in.

The difference between the 2 teams isn't as drastic as your negative mindset is making it seem.

I understand the Ireland hate...really I do, but hoping for losses to close out the season just to secure our GM is fired instead of rooting for wins and a playoffs spot is just plain :bobdole:

Couldn't of happened to a nicer guy :lol2::brewskis:

Many people just don't get that we aren't going to go from near cellar dweller to elite in one season.

Getting to the point we are at, playoff possibilities but dependent on other teams results, is an intermediate stage between looking in from the outside in January and elite. We make our own destiny because Baltimore will not win out IMO.

Yep. Folks, we're not gonna beat Denver in their house, but Cincy and Indy are two teams we can beat. In fact, I like our chances against either of those teams. It's not like we're talking about sneaking in to the playoffs at 8-8 to get blown out by some amazing team here. 10-6 against a team we've already beaten once this year (and if it's Cinci, twice in the last 2 years) is a hope worth having.

Look if anyone thinks the dolphins should lose in an effort to lose Ireland is misguided. I admit I'm extremely biased when it comes to my position on the benefits of organizational consistency but even those of you who think its okay to continuously shift regimes must see the upside of a trip to the playoffs. First off well either play the colts or bengals in the firt round 2 teams we've already beaten. Meaning we could easily make the second round. That kind of experience would be invaluable to our young players give them confidence and making miami a more desirable destination for free agents to plug some of the remaining holes on the roster and solidify our talent heading into next year.

If this happens, you want the person who built the team that made these strides in charge of taking the next step.

It would mark the progress many of u pined for.

It would make us part of the nfl upper middle class; on the fast track to joining the elite.

Also, withe randomness of the nfl playoffs, and the ability of incomplete teams to ride hot streaks to a Lombardi trophy (ie giants, ravens). If u make the playoffs, u never know, we could win it all?!

Weird that we're hearing this with 3 weeks left to go still. Ross needs to chill out and just wait until the season ends.

Well Kansas City is kind of doing that. Washington is the opposite as is Houston. It definitely can happen. I didn't have a predicted record for Miami this year but 7-6 after all the close games and bull**** drama is a heck of an accomplishment.

Now I really wanna lose the next 3 games.
