Slimm's 2019 Quarterbacks (underclassman)

So what’s the general consensus on Shea Patterson? I think he’s done ok in his first year under Harbaugh. Could he be someone to look at in the 2nd or 3rd round if he declares?

If Jake Bently is the best underclassmen then man that qb class is terrible.

Got a close look at him today against the Gators, despite the offense moving pretty well through 3 quarters, I was underwhelmed by him, he needs to stay in school another year, not ready in my view.

Mid rounder if you like him a lot. Late rounder if you don't. Needs to come back for his Senior year and continue to develop. I doubt there's a general consensus on any quarterback in this class.

All in on Tua in 2020 or hold out for 2021 for Trevor Slimm?

Both are fantastic...

Well you need to find out what you have in Ryan Tannehill first...

In all seriousness, I don't know how you feel about Trevor Lawrence, but me personally I'd hate to see Tua go to an organization like the Dolphins.

LOL.

So I take it you think both are good and you don't want Miami to ruin them, I love that response.

Both are phenomenal - literally.

Good chance we see these two butt heads in Levi's Stadium in about 2 months for all the marbles in Bama vs. Clemson IV.

Whatever team gets either those kids will be better day one. I pray to the football gods Miami has another 1-15 type year in either 2020 or 2021.

I fully expect Bama to win that game really easy, that defense against a true freshman? But then i fully expect them to butt heads again in 2020 for all the marbles for Bama vs Clemson V

Dwayne Haskins's arm strength is more problematic than I expected it to be. It's not quite where Teddy Bridgewater's is. It's at a point where you expect that a maturing Haskins could tighten up, but it's a data point to consider. He needs to return to school.

Of course Justin Herbert's is freak show, like Drew Lock's. And Drew Anderson's, and Easton Stick's, though you wouldn't necessarily know it from the (lack of) publicity the two get.

We already know that Trevor Lawrence has a freak show arm, too.

Goodness.

Part of me wants to question the speed of that UNC defense, I mean just how fast are Myles Dorn and Trey Morrison that they're being out-run by Daniel Jones...but regardless of that, the fact Daniel Jones can out-run these defensive backs shows that he's really going to test out in the 4.6's.

That's very good on a tall guy with good mechanics and pocket movement like him.

Matt Miller reported on his podcast this morning that he received at least 15 texts from various sources, including Haskins QB coach, that Haskins will enter the draft. He also reported Shea Patterson will enter the draft as well.

BTW, Miller’s podcast, Stick to Football, is pretty cool. It’s my second favorite behind 3 Yards per Carry.

I am flattered!

Hey, there could be a complete overhaul by then. What if we threw in a uniform change?
