The funniest thing about the Phils loss tonight is the guy that scored the winning run (Marlon Anderson) got traded as soon as the game ended!

good for marlon. revenge on the team that let him go 2 years ago (philly) and hes still helping the mets a year later. :lol:
 
The Phils will get the last laugh in the playoffs when they are killing the Muts and Howard is hitting homer after homer off of Tom Glavine, and the rest of your pitching. You are gonna cry!!! :boohoo:

Delgado and Biggio are both hit by pitches, and the ump says no!
Chavez and Reyes are both safe stealing, and called out!

Its been a funny year from all the teams chasing the Mets. Philly is 16 1/2 games back in the division ...chasing the Pods for the wild card...and yet the Mets...who have played as well and as consistant as any team in the league have to be shaking in thier boots about the Phils.
The Mets had that series in Atlanta where some of the Braves popped off about still having a chance about the Division and the Mets left town with the Braves long gone in thier rear view mirrors.
On talk radio here in NY..you have alot of Astro fans calling up saying that the Mets should be terrified of us playing them in a short series,..yet seem to forget about who they are playing RIGHT now and how important those games are to them just to MAKE the Playoffs.
Anything can happen in a short series...but whoever the Mets play...they have proved over the ENTIRE season that they would be the FAVORITES.

It will all come down to who is playing the best ball come late September. I think the NL West is bogus...the Wild Card should come from either the Reds Astros or Phils, maybe the Padres?, but I see the Pads folding.

Wells looked great for the Padres yesterday, they may be tough! And the Astros have the pitching to beat anyone. Phils just have no pitching.
