I dont know but thats a messed up mentality...Who was it who said that "the best ability is availability" ?

when was the last time we had one? 1984? play out?Why do ppl assume it will?
Isn't it possible that we get a franchise QB regardless?
We could actually let it play out before we start bitching about it.
What fun would that be though.....
Why? If a great player can't finish a highly contested season due to a propensity to get injured, just how valuable is that player?I dont know but thats a messed up mentality...
By that manner of reasoning then the losses were also meaningless.Im not saying he was trying to lose on purpose, Im saying wins in 2019 didnt figure into the equation. Losing is often the best strategical option you have. Poker players who never fold will win alot of hands, but they wont be profitable.
2019 wins were meaningless to Grier... And you dont have to read his mind to know that, actions speak louder than words.
Like Wentz going 11-2 with a 102 rating and Foles finishing it off with a SB?Why? If a great player can't finish a highly contested season due to a propensity to get injured, just how valuable is that player?
Wins being meaningless doesnt make the losses meaningless... Wins being meaningless doesnt change anything strategically, while losses give you a strategicall advantage.By that manner of reasoning then the losses were also meaningless.
We don't even know for sure which QB they are even after.
It is possible we get our guy at 5 isn't it? That would render the whole discussion moot.
Now you're reaching. How often does that happen?Like Wentz going 11-2 with a 102 rating and Foles finishing it off with a SB?
and no one gets this. I mean 5 wins may have cost us the franchise qb OR cost us the draft capital we need for sustainability. Let's face it, it wasn't Flores that brought them here, it was the $100M. I didn't really hear anyone making offers to these players. These same posters will be escorting Flores out the door in a season or two if he fails
I thought we were discussing the GMs mindset, and you already admitted he wasn't trying to lose purposely. Therefore it wasn't a strategic plan to attain a higher draft pick.Wins being meaningless doesnt make the losses meaningless... Wins being meaningless doesnt change anything strategically, while losses give you a strategicall advantage.
Does you shift button work? All that has happened since the season IS Free Agency. What else were we supposed to do? Good players are choosing us over other teams. We can't fill every hole in the draft unless we want to wait multiple extra years.so all you have done is attracted free agents. In the sustainability of things, it is better to build through the draft. Let me guess, you want to trade all our picks for Burrow too?
I never expected coaches and players to tank games on purpose. My main gripe is when someone calls tanking a coward move, which it isnt, its a strategic move that benefits your org in the future.
If the head of your football operation is not trying to win games in the current season becuase he's got his eyes set for the the following seasons, then by definition, he views wins in the current season meaningless. No?
This is simple...
Men play to win.
Players with honor play to win.
Coaches with dignity play to win.
Cowards and thieves... tank.
Period.
They will escort Grier out first and for good reason but yeah Flores won’t be far behind if they don’t get the difference maker at qb.
