maybe. but IMO we have 1 questionable position.
the fins have more than that. i see improvment. but a 9-7 season...... i dont know about that.

I was responding to your Bills buddy. There is no doubt we have ?'s at key positions, but to say that you guys only have 1 is really looking at your team in a positive light. Clements is a better corner than Madison but not by to much although they are going in different directions. Even with Poole out I like our depth 2-5 better than the bills at CB. If your safties stay healthy there is no doubt you have a big advantage there.

changing your stance now? I thought you said "top to bottom."
BTW, I would still take Vincent over your no. 2. Hell I'd take McGee over your no. 2 . Clements didn't make our passing D top 3 by himself.

Oh the old you're looking great trick!!!!!I've heard that one before!!!!

Seriously though, nice of you to post the positives.

just 1 questionable position....LT...DT...i got 2 and i really did not have to think about it...and QB...that's 3...take your blinders off.

Go Fins!!!

DT is fine. Edwards might not stop the run as much, but he can rush the passer. 2 years ago he was a BUM, now hes not to bad.

LT is a concern but by the start of the season, our 0-line coach will decide who is the best at that spot. and thers is still a chance at signing a FA OT, or trade for one.

and your QB isn't?

Mcgee had 2 starts, and Vincent played in 7 games mostly at Safety. And top to bottom I do like our corners better I was just saying Clements is better than Madison but not by much. Howard started for a superbowl team for almost 2 years, Mcgee has 2 starts. Kevin Thomas your Nickelback has 2 starts and 1 career pick. Your 4th corner will be Jabari Greer or Eric King the rookie. Mario Edwards is not a world beater but has 50 career starts at CB. Travis Daniels has played in Saban's system and was good college corner. I am sure we will pick up another vet. with Poole out.

I do agree with your point about RW. Many here are way too optimistic about what he will be able to bring. On the Sports Bash yesterday they had one of the casino line makers on. He said that the over/under on RW's yards was 500. This is about what most people not wearing aqua-colored glasses expect him to be able to produce. This is a far cry from some posts here expecting 300 yd games and 1300 yds total in an abbreviated season. Can it happen? Sure, but it's far from likely and those that think bringing him back represents a huge upgrade to our team being extremely optimistic. (And frankly ignoring/minimizing the negatives)

my previous post said our QB was the only question mark. my last reply was to clerify other positions that i felt were not that big a problem to our team, and why i do not consiter them question marks.

if McGee only had 2 starts then tell me who started for vincent when he was hurt, or when he moved to FS?

What has Mcgee done to make you even think he is a better CB than Poole..?

he's a question mark. So is Brown. Like Borwn, JP has a lot of potential.

qbs generally take much longer to develop than a rb...so losman is a bigger ? than Brown...but if you looked at my post...I said I like our rb positions...brown, williams?, gordon, kay-jay...nice depth.

go fins!!!

where do you get your facts from? McGee didn't start just 2 games. He was our no. 2. The fact that Vincent was placed at saftey is because we are set at the cb position. We didn't need him.

Year Team G Total Tckl Ast Sacks Int Yds Avg Lg TD Pass Def
2004 Miami Dolphins 16 44 31.0 13 0 0 0 0.0 0 0 7 [Madison]
2004 Buffalo Bills 16 92 75.0 17 2 3 21 7.0 21 0 11 [McGee]

I'm not saying McGee is better than Madison because stats don't paint an entire picture , but he had better nos. than Madison.
