Adam Gase Needs To Go!!! Immediately!!!

Not a popular opinion but honestly think he's got this team way out performing it's talent level. The level here is very low, to have a chance to be above .500 shows he has something about him. His home record is pretty remarkable however the results away from Miami are simply not good enough. He'll be back next season, but things will need to change somewhere, otherwise 8-8 here we come again in 2019.

I agree. I would give him another year.

Chad, we can say it a billion different ways. We need to begin looking for a new QB, Tannehill because of his contract, his performance and his new status as injury prone must be replaced.

Maybe 7-7 isn't normal Gase, maybe it's just over achieving. I honestly thing he's a good OC for some team, but not the main guy.

Crikey. I think he's a dreadful OC. I was following the Pats game today. On a long FG drive, they ran, and ran, and ran. Play after play. They covered most of the field running, until on 3rd and 4 in the RZ, Pitt got the stop, and NE kicked the FG. And you know what I thought? This is great play calling by McDaniels. They weren't stopping the run, so he kept running.

What does Gase do in that situation? Gets to 3rd and 1 and calls some stupid deep pass play. Then punts from their territory. Time and time again he makes baffling decisions. Time and time again he's over cautious. He's a dreadful play caller in my opinion.

Jacksonville and Buffalo can't score. The scoreboard loves Adam Gase in close games and right now the remaining schedule loves Adam Gase. These Dolphins have many faults but they do find ways to put up enough points to defeat the statuesque teams.

Impressions can change in a hurry. That's all I'm saying. I never like to predict these Crowd Dolphins to go on a winning streak or losing streak. This schedule sets up nicely for a modest winning streak to conclude the regular season.

If he goes 9-7 he's coming back.

Today the 4th and 3 punt call from the Vikings 43 was maddening and inexcusable. I mentioned it in another thread. It deserves its own thread. Joe Philbin was the best recent guy we've had in understanding situational football. He called time outs at the correct time, at least while positioning the offense. No question Philbin would have known enough to go for it on 4th and 3, given that score and scenario.

It's almost like Gase needs a sideline tutor. If they have specialists in the booth telling them when to throw the red flag, then certainly there should be a specialist regarding game strategy. After all, game strategy shows up every week, while the red flag situation maybe a handful of times per season.

Our offensive strategy was laughable. As others posted, the Vikings blitzes weren't exactly disguised. Many blitzers were delayed and never threatened to get there. We should have had play calls designed to exploit those gaps but instead we acted as if one deep drop and slow developing play after another was the best of all possible worlds.

I'm sure the All-22 guys will tell us that we didn't see what we think we saw. Maybe I can collect on my Dolphins +8 points on appeal, as soon as the All-22 guys get through with their rationalization.

You’re being kind on the 3rd and 1s. It’s normally some east-west gimmicky nonesense that gets blown up.

Gase is a finesse coach and his playcalling demands that everyone do everything exactly right. Problem is, there's no room for tolerance. So everything just results in failure, failure failure.

Can't coach like that. Players aren't robots. He's just the wrong coach to be calling plays for this team. And Burke shouldn't be coaching in the league period.

That 4th and 3 punt was gutless. He’s done that multiple times this year.

He has 827...so maybe he doesn't get 1,000. He'll finish the year with about the same amount of yards as Wilson, Amendola, and Grant...but that was the plan.

But will still end with less TDs than Wilson and Grant who both havent played since October early November what's yards with out tds?

Yet is still out there contributing to a team that is arguably better than we are....

Yet they will still watch the playoffs like we will, what exactly is your point? Wilson > Landry....
My point is that Landry, the team's leading receiver, has helped the Browns to a +6 win total, while Wilson is recovering.

Golly let's stop the nonsense...

Gase was specifically brought in to create a high flying high scoring O and

in that respect (3 YEARS IN THE PROGRAM) he has resoundingly failed!

>>> FYI 10 points on O today!

And we're like what >>> no. 29 on O in the league!

Beyond that -- you can easily debate 50% of his wins with Miami were the result of

good fortune/luck -- and NOT anything that's actually sustainable/viable. I think he needs to go

(along with the idiot Tbum who brought him in) and get a LEGIT REAL N F L HC!

No more on-the-job trainees.

I honestly believe our "problems" have a LOT more to do with coaching/planning than

dudes on the roster. Gase can't use personnel worth a flying $hit!

He sucks! And needs to go!

I think it’s very strange for a HC to sit on the bench when the D is on the field Gase sole responsibility according to him is the offense and they suck.
Next.
I have a theory on this. I may be wrong, but it's like he doesn't evne want to be associated with Burke and his defense. Like he's walking away while Burke's unit is on the field as to tell everyone, "Hey I'm doing offense over here, all that mess on the field is on Burke."
A HC coaches the team, not just one unit.
