Dolphins want Dontari Poe to visit - Update: signed for the Falcons

Probably the last thing he was told by most teams.

Don't discount the common agent representation here with Sexton. I think Miami has more of an advantage here than people are acknowledging. They met for 9 hours. They probably have a good idea what he's looking for. They can offer a pretty good contract on a short term deal if he's interested. Playing next to Suh, no state taxes, South Beach, team that made the playoffs etc. There are some perks.

Dontari Poe is not coming to the Dolphins. Picking better deal with Atlanta, per source. Shocking! (not really).

At last the suspense is over. Let him go to the falcons for all I care

Ozzy rules!!

Dolphins were "not even in the ballpark" on terms (meaning money), I'm told.

The Branch deal costs us another good player in free agency.

He would have been crazy to turn down Atl to sign here

@ArmandoSalguero: Dolphins wanted to pay Dontari Poe $3M-$4M over one year. That wasn't going to get it done.

That offer was a waste of everyones time.

Of course he took the deal that offered the most money. Why would anyone expect him to do anything different. The Dolphins still need another DT, will be interesting to see their next move to try to fill that hole along with all the other holes on the team.

The Falcons and DT Dontari Poe agree to a 1-year deal worth $8M, source said. He can make up to $10M with incentives.

Too funny. A 9 hour meeting and you offer him peanuts. Why the **** are Misi and Jordan still on this team?

Miami couldn't have afforded this? If Misi is on the team beyond June 1 the offseason will have been a failure IMO.

Desperate times call for desperate measures...the Jets have a beast inside on the trading block...just saying
