Howard: "likes" image of himself in Cowboys Uniform

Serious question. Is it the norm for a player these days to have a stand out season after signing a multi year contract and then suddenly throw out his rattle and demand a better contract based on one season? It's a piss take in my opinion. Their players union must be laughing if that's how their players can behave.

"Howard, who led the NFL with 10 interceptions and was a candidate for the league’s Defensive Player of the Year honors, has since signed with South Florida-based agent David Canter. But until Canter gets Howard a new deal, Bilbo will receive a commission on the four years that remain on his current deal, which will pay the cornerback $12.1 million this season, and has the potential to pay him $13 million in 2022."

David Canter is behind this, hes trying to get paid and knows X wont get as much money in 4 years as he will now

Of course. He was probably all in X's ear about how, since he's the greatest CB ever lived, he can reset how the market works. He can force those evil Dolphins to pay that man his money, with all the leverage in the world 'cuz...well he's the greatest CB ever lived.

I'm sure that's part of it, but not the entirety. That assumes Howard isn't capable of thinking for himself.

Greedy narcissist player meets greedy slimeball lawyer....... Sounds like a match made in heaven.........

Unless he actually doesn't play and thinks the penalties will be resolved by the new contract he isn't going to get.

I'd be curious to know what his team mates think about his actions, or even if they are paying any attention to them at all.
The smart move for him would be to play hard this season and request a trade, prove himself in back to back seasons and handle this next year when the Dolphins and everybody else has more cap!
