I Don’t Consider That A Win!

I actually hope the Pats kick the ever loving crap out of us next week and if we play like we did today the Pats will win big. The Dolphins don't deserve to win anything until big changes are made.

I cannot believe you actually wrote

'Surprisingly mediocre season'

There's blinkered fans and then there's blinkered fans.

Actually I have worked it out. You are Stephen Ross and I claim my $5 prize.

Wtf? Really so we were supposed to win the Superbowl this year?

Not sure what you're saying talk about blinkered fan!

There upset because they want Gase gone at all costs. Even though I can’t remember to many NFL coaches getting fired after 3 so so seasons.

Gase will at best only ever be mediocre. I don't actively root for losses or anything but it is pretty clear that this team can't advance talent wise under Gase because he doesn't manage talent, players don't want to play for him, we usually have to spend many of our draft picks replacing players who were already on the roster but he couldn't manage, and young players won't emerge on his offense because he is unable to establish a rhythm, feed playmakers, and like Jon Gruden used to do in Tampa he would rather play a guy over 30 with limited ceiling but predictability over a young player.

Yeah, I want the Dolphins to win, but I despite Gase even more than Nick Saban at this point.

If Buffalo had any other QB who had more accuracy there's no way in hell we win that.

Isn't it great that in our division we have a team with an ancient QB with no successor and two QB's of the future who are about as accurate as Brock Osweiler throws a good deep ball?

* Nothing wrong with winning a game like that against a rookie quarterback. That is very typical of rookie quarterbacks -- looking much better on the field than points on the scoreboard. Dolphins scored their season average and Buffalo was close to its average point production.

* Anyone who complains about penalties or breaks is a looney tune. That should be understood and emphasized every week. Naturally it is popular on every fan site to whine about the officials, and pretend that every season the world is against the Miami Dolphins, or insert name of whatever team we are rooting for. I see it everywhere I post. It is laughable ignorance. Every week these games unfold differently, with many penalties being called or none at all. Incredibly random. But guaranteed if the Dolphins are on the short end of a call next week then the familiar whiners will whine again.

* It will be interesting to see if Josh Allen starts to get those calls, as his career progresses. Today he was thumped on the head numerous times without a call. But that is more typical of how the officials deal with mobile quarterbacks as opposed to stationary ones.

* The wildcat with Ballage was right up there with 3rd and 10 last week. Ballage takes time to get going to begin with. To trust him with a wildcat snap when the other team has expended all of its time outs was a mind boggling donation.

* Our net gain on special teams is surreal. I'm shocked when it doesn't happen during an exchange. Anyone who thinks we don't intimidate the field goal kickers via pressure is way off base. I've wagered on hundreds of field goal attempts man to man and that is always part of the handicapping...does the other side seriously emphasize the rush, and if so where does it come from? The fact that we also thump so many punts also gets into the head of the placekicker.

* Overall a very entertaining game. The classic logos and uniforms and painted end zone really contributed to the feel. I have no idea how anyone can look at the new uniforms/logos and typical end zone design while believing it is even close to the same caliber.

* The sportsbooks hated that outcome because they basically didn't win a wager. Getting middled is a killer. Buffalo +6 was available early in the week and Dolphins -3.5 was available late week. It was easy to find +4 today if you wanted Buffalo. Only the type who is stuck with one out and favored Buffalo could have possible lost a bet on that game, at +3.5. But that is a very tiny fraction of total dollars wagered on this game.

Can't recall the last time you actually hoped the Fins would win.

When they play good they score 20 and when they play bad they score 20. The offensive scheme is crap just like the defensive scheme. There's talent on this team but this crappy staffs is going to waste it. Ryan's done or should be tired of seeing the same performance 7 years is long enough to evaluate.

I know! It's so RUDE to expect some kind of "jump" in team performance

when golly we're saddled with so many daft draft picks and

we'd be oh and whatever if it wasn't for the brilliant leadership and

intoxicating play calling of our guru superb HC...

A win is a win. Even if you know deep down it was lucky!

Go My Yammie!

Bottom line we suck. Need a new coaching staff ,front office , GM, Ol, DL, LBers except Tunsil. Absolutely a pathetic and embarrassing performance. I Don’t care if we won. We are not going anywhere with a team and coaching staff like this. Just fng ridiculous

But wait!

There's more!

:)

That wasn’t a win, it was hopefully an awakening for Ross that this entire staff needs to be terminated.

Gase, well he called a couple of good drives but between the 1st and last scoring drive. He went into play not to lose mode again after the first drive. The fact he put a rookie in a wildcat on the most important play of the game shows he has zero sense.

Burke, well do I need to say anything? How he made Allen look like Vick, almost give up points at the end of the first half and the final drive he rushes 3 guys instead of blitzing a rookie QB on 4th and 11 who has been running in all day almost came away with a game winning TD.

Allen lost the game with his terrible arm and this would have otherwise been a blow out by any team with a decent QB. There is zero hope against hope Gase can become a good coach and if last week wasn’t enough for you to be convinced this week should. Just the worst coaching staff in the NFL, this team has 2-3 more losses than it deserves because of bad coaching, just sickening to be a Dolphins fan right now. This is worse than the 1-15 season.

You should be happy after a win but this game just made me pissed I have to watch these A$$ Clowns coach MY team the rest of the season.

Of course you don't.

The wildcat on the key play of the game was so stupid and shows just how little Gase is able or unwilling to adapt week to week. Imagine that same situation in the SuperBowl. You think any competent HC calls that?
