Real Problem With The Offense

C'mon guys. It's all about execution. Just like Burke said last week, they do not design plays that leave guys wide open. Gase is not calling plays that are not designed to work. Do I think he is the best play caller? No. But that also doesn't mean that is the #1 thing that is wrong with the offense.

He called 2 runs on 2nd and 18+ yesterday. He is the problem.

That's right!
Gase said that he has the roster he wants this season.
So, does Gase want players who can't perform in HIS system? Sure looks that way. They're HIS players.
This roster has been turned over since his arrival, and it hasn't worked.

While I agree, every NFL coach in year 3 or more has the roster 'he wants.' And most of those teams have poor backups and some average or worse players who start. Even good coaches of playoff caliber teams have poor backups and struggle with key injuries and or too many injuries. The problem isn't always poor player selection, but, as someone said elsewhere, there aren't enough NFL quality players to supply every team. The best that can be said is 'coach - - - - has the best roster he could get, given what's available.'

i dont understand how anyone can look at our offense and say adam gase is part of the solution. outside of his trickeration there is simply nothing there schematically that helps this unit overachieve.

And i was thinking the trickeration was part of the problem too.

Cause he probably didnt want his QB blown up or to throw a pic probably...

-OL whiffing on defenders, Drake also btw, probably while he was barely used yesterday.
-QB missing wide open players or bad ball placement.
-critical penalty after the wildcat run to get us in close to a score.

This offense as a whole (players) continue to make mistakes afer mistakes.... kinda like the defense was doing until some changes were made yesterday.

Some of these plays we complain about work just fine in KC and NE , now why is that?

the problem is that adam gase has final say over the 53 man roster. so the unfortunate pleasures are of his own accord.

A backup QB is suppose to keep your head above water if your starter gets injured. They arent suppose to lead a team. They arent expected to play a whole season or a half a season. Look at his record. The QBs he has brought in have done just that. Kept this team from being a dumpster fire. Its just unfortunate the injuries we have sustained.

Don’t be the guy who walks through the Casino, sees a hot blackjack table, puts down a $2 bet, loses, walks away and throws the table off! How about depositing an opinion instead of driving by shooting a bullet and run? I am happy to debate you on this but you made no points or perception of where I or the 12 people who liked the comment are so off base. Please elaborate.

I also am really concerned Gore will be worn down in the next few weeks. 35, not 25. That sums it up. My 55 year old legs don't quite recover from a marathon the way they used to.
Run Gore until his feet breaks off, he's the best option to get first downs and a clock eater, Osweiler will give the game to GB with his Lack luster play, this game will get away from the fins fast if they don't play power football.

Against the Jets the biggest problem killing the offense was the o-line. Pressure was coming right up the middle on lots of occasions. Pac pointed out above all the other problem that ended drives. There were penalties, overthrows and ball batted back into BO's face. We let Jamal Adams in clean on a blitz on a key play. Drake whiffed on a block to end the opening series. I give the Jet's some credit, they have a decent defense.

Ok lets see, we have a coach that has an NFL record 19 consecutive games without scoring a TD on the first drive of the game, this means awful gameplaning. I dont care injuries or QB, this means even the Browns have been more succesful with it. This offense under Gase never reached a top 20 position, and it seems like it is built very conservative. Gase is VERY lucky to have the Jets and the Bills on the division, also playing in the AFC where you have only 3 premium teams (Pats, Chiefs and Steelers) helps a lot. Despite the luck our offense Is garbage and our team is MEH. Gase is part of the real problem.
Then we have been hit with crucial injuries like Sitton, Wilson and TaMEHhill. But this Is not the real problem. QB play Is part of the real problem. We know Osweiler Is very average with a bad long accuracy, but the best offense under TaMEHill came with Lazor at OC, yes LAZOR!, and the reason was that he gave TaMEHill little freedom. Lots of passes were design to just get rid of the ball with dink and dunk, and Landry was elite at making people miss on those short screens. Gase was trying to duplicate the strategy but with no power back and OL that cant open holes, the defense plays agressive at those screens. Now, you ask TaMEHhill to hit open receivers in stride, or scan the field, or buy time in the pocket and you are asking a lot of a very limited QB. So the other real problem is having a very limited QB, and of course the backups are even worse.
Harbaugh has done miracles with Flacco who Is also very limited, but when you have that limitation with the key position on offense you need an elite defense to contend.
Give the Harbaughs a top 15 QB and he will contend every year. It would be a dream to have a Harbaugh and Luck the next year. Hire a Harbaugh and land a top 15 QB and you will see a huge improvement on offense with the same players we have.

Guy no one talks about that is playing trending down football Jesse davis.

I think he’s getting worse.

Once his hands are defeated he seems to lack a counter

No offense, but most of these debates start with a false premise, as in 'the REAL problem is -----.' There is a great likelihood there is more than one REAL problem
This is so true! In my lifetime I have found that problems that are difficult to solve are difficult because there is more than one problem. Perhaps it's play calling AND personnel.
